The optimal shift point for the Clio is '5500 RPM and no later than that', paraphrasing an answer I got just before its Runoffs race started. Far as I can tell, it works! I honestly love driving the car, but I still can't get over how its gearing/power delivery works. Actual rev limit is 1000 over where you should actually shift, 1st - 4th have short ratios and you just have to sit in 5th feeling like you should really shift into 6th on any longer track... It's definitely quirky.
Ford GT looks like you gotta actually drive it. I’d be interested and watching you race it if it’s something you’re also interested in
I think that's the way I'm leaning. I like the HPD, but it's got the same characteristics I don't like in the LMP2

5500 shift for the Clio. FEEDBACK
😂😂😂 Thank you! The poor thing only revs to 6k!
@ I’ve had some good racing in PCC with it. It’s also nice to beat the GR and MX, I don’t think that happens all that often!
@@iang265 Hmmm, maybe I'll give it a whirl. Thanks for the info (:
@@iang265 I beat all the GRs and MXs at Road Atlanta in the Clio by like >10 seconds once.. Felt like a king there
