    Use above link to find the right part No, but DO NOT try to buy from them. I put my order and they told me will ship in 5-10 days. But after waiting for 2 weeks it still not shipped yet, and every customers service person told me a different reason. I guess they were trying to force me to have their technician to fix it. I have to order from eBay and got it in 9 days.

    Thank you for the video. I hope you can help me with my diagnostic code. A couple weeks ago, the city had to shut off ALL the water. Then they fixed the leak and put back on water then there was another leak they had to shut off water again. Everyone was fighting on fb about shutting valves in the alley saying when the water comes back on, the pressure wouldn’t mess things up. But by that point, the water was back on at my house already and they shut the water off sometime again and come 1:30 am one of my hoses busted off my washer from the pressure. The bathroom where my laundry area is located was flooded a few inches deep. So, the next few days, we replaced both hoses and cleaned the trash out the lines. I already had a water dripping problem since February where water dripped in the washer and someone suggested a new inlet then and also for this issue for water not coming out now. But the new inlet didn’t fix my problem. Water still won’t come out and the washer just locks the lid and makes the click sound but never fills or starts. I finally ran the diagnostic and come up with code f7e9. I just paid a man $150 for him to tell me the washer was no good anymore, he didn’t even run the diagnostic test just switched the inlet he had with mine…and I’m like what about that code that is the issue for the rotor or motor. He insisted the washer is trash. I’m not rich, I can barely get by. Absolutely no way can I afford another washer. What part do I need for my error code, please? I have a Whirlpool Cabrio wtw8500dc2. Can you please tell me what to buy so that my sister can help me fix my machine or is it really trash like he said?

    • @atkinsyk4252
      @atkinsyk4252  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This f7e9 code means the motor doesn’t move when it supposed to move. You should check if there’s anything stuck between the tube and the bucket. If the tube can move freely, then it’s the rotor gone bad. Since you had a flood in the laundry room, and it caused by the city, you should asked them to pay for the repair. Or you can ask your insurance company for a claim.

    The old, (if u can even call it that) cabrio washer rotor/stator/splutch would outlast the bearing and seal on the washer.

    I have the same error code. when I go to turn the washer on its side water comes out the bottom. Is there a separate issue with draining or is there a way to drain it in a cycle. my washer currently will not start any cycle due to the clutch failing.

    • @atkinsyk4252
      @atkinsyk4252  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t think you can drain it by turn the washer on, because it’s programmed to scan any issue arising before it runs. You can put a pan or bowl under the drain hose, and take out the hose to drain the water. If there is a lot water in the washer you can use a ShopVac to suck out the water first.

      If you’re not sure about replacing user interface control board or the clutch, there was a question 6 mouthes ago underneath: “how to check if the clutch is good or bad”. You can check if the clutch and the clutch connector are good, then decide what to do next. The clutch cost around CAD$100, but the control board probably cost CAD$200.

      The clutch has 2 wires to the connector, I put the multimeter's 2 probes into the 2 holes of the connector, then set the multimeter to ohm, starting from the highest setting @2000K, it showed 1, and then turn down to 200K and so on, at the end, EVERY one showed 1, which meant it was dead. I'm not sure about what is the correct reading for the ohm. you can lift up the top of the washer, the technical manual should be in the lower left corner between the tube and the body, you can put your hand in it and take it out.
