His game highlights is the career highlights for some mid players
The difference between other players and Messi is that he does absolutely ridiculous things with great consistency where as others players do such things once in a while. I bet the very best players in the world would take at least 4-5 seasons for a compilation as good as this one. I mean seriously, is this even possible. A season highlights of a player of such quality which is almost one and a half hour long. Such consistency is unmatched. Not just scoring goals, those beautifully crafted defense splitting passes, out of the world dribbling, controlling in the ball in tight spaces where they would just throw 2-3 players marking him and sometimes he just plays around with professional players as if it was his backyard. I can never even imagine how is he compared to others. He is miles ahead of everyone else.

We should be grateful for him as football lovers because he has showed us everything of football.
Messi, such a unique player and great human being.
The secret that Messi brought to the footballing world, is the ability to dribble yourself around the ball, and not the ball around yourself. If you manage to do that you have created unexpected situations that nobody could ever thought possible. So in most of Messi's dribbles, you can see, the ball mostly remains stationary - and that's simply because Messi isn't dribbling the ball around his feet, he is dribbling his feet... around the ball - shielding it, faking runs, faking shots, faking nutmegs and when the time is right and he has created a situation that the defender couldn't possibly predict - he has the skill to convert said situation to his advantage and run away with the ball to score or at bare minimum, pass the ball to his teamates.
That has never been done in football before with such skill and accuracy and consistency. And that's one of the new things that Messi brought to the footballing world. Something easier said than done since it requires the establishment of an entire new mindset, vision and mantra to be achieved. Messi being a shy individual who always takes himself and his opponents seriously is the right combination of things for that to happen, since his knowledge of the game is so immense that nobody really believes it until they see him play. How can one person know so much stuff about football? And be good at mindgames and predicting the future?
Messi's way of playing might appear physical but its always spiritual - it starts from the mind. Before Messi receiving the ball from say a pass, he has already asked himself "ok, what are my 5 things that I'm going to do in that particular situation IF I receive the ball, I'm going to do this, this. this and this and then I'll have these options, sounds good lets go" and ofcourse most other players that relly on pure skill and intution, Messi plays football like a game of chess, always being a couple of moves ahead just in case.
So by the time Messi has received the ball you have already lost.
