@@allisonm.323 I think they where referring how the song would be difficult to get her to sing right, so they're complementing them on achieving a difficult feat
Miku, having been born and grown up in the country, West Virginia, tells her family that she wants to pursue music. Her family, encouraging her to follow her dream, lets her leave and follows her career as she's away. Everybody grows up, and they think she forgot about her roots. Her family is happy for her, but disappointed that she forgot about them. Finding out that she released a new song, her family listens to it as usual, expecting it to be another loud, energetic pop song that they don't necessarily enjoy. They're taken aback when they hear a calm guitar, and the little girl they once knew sing about where she came from and her want to go back. They're ecstatic, and listen to that song the most, awaiting her return as they fondly remember her childhood.
Honestly really impressed by how well people are getting Miku to sing in English these days. When I was big into Vocaloid a decade ago, there wasn't much in English and most of the attempts at English were pretty rough. Very good!
my parents always played this song on a cd in the car. I _despised_ it with ALL my heart and soul. But you.. you have the power to change everything. You have changed my view of the world. of this song. For that, I must thank you.
My dad was surprised when he heard a high pitched voice singing this song and asked who it was that was singing. I told him that it was a sort of AI, and he chuckled, comparing the AI voices from the original Star Trek to what we have here today. The AI voice in Star Trek only has one tone and can only speak with one note. These vocaloids sound far more human, and are able to sing a wide range of notes (though speaking still sounds a little weird). EDIT: Oh! Almost forgot! Hatsune Miku singing this still kinda works, because apparently, country songs are popular in places like Japan and China, including ones by John Denver (even though he's more folk than country, but close enough).
I love how every time every generation of Miku producers slowed down from making originals and covers, they come back full blast with nostalgia. Long live Miku
I've always loved this song, and every singer I've ever heard sing it brings something special to it. This reminds me of the country & western song craze in Japan karaoke bars in the late 80s and the 90s. 🙂
Found this through a Miku covers playlist. Thing is, this song is special to me - my father, who passed away not too long ago - performed this song for easily 20+ years, it was a mainstay in his shows (and he did shows for 40-ish years?). So this cover kinda hit me outta nowhere, but I love it even more for all that, too
my parents would play this on road trips, (I hated it and would listen to my own music) but now I think my parents should put THIS on the radio, cause damn, this is good
help this is so adorable and beautiful 😭my dad loves this song and i think he'll be happy if he saw this (even though he knows nothing about hatsune miku)
I've stumbled upon these oddly soothing miku covers. I don't usually listen to vocaloid music, but for some reason these are working for me. I'd be very curious to hear Miku tackle an Michael Jackson song, but I imagine that'd be difficult to do. Either way, keep up the awesome covers!
This is such a weird feeling of nostalgia... I mean, it's literally Miku singing Country Roads! 2 of the things I love mixing together beautifully in an odd way 😭
I found this song from a ghibli movie(forgot what it's called), I got addicted to the part where the main character(the girl)started singing this song, thanks for reminding me of this and the movie's existence!
I don't listen to country music, but I gotta admit Hatsune Miku Vocaloid did a fantastic job on this cover. I love Hatsune Miku very much. She is the best singer. And most iconic and nostalgic Vocaloid ever. Good Job on the song cover. Miku-Chan is the best.
This is my favorite country song. And a Miku cover of it, it's great. I approved. Also, to those who hate country music, have you even went to a rural area?
It is amazing that Miku wrote every popular song ever
*sad John Denver sounds*
real
The Title says cover so your joke doesn't work.

This should be a movie.
This is such a sweet story! Truly adorable 😊
this made me cry
Did you mean "H(annah)atsune M(ontana)iku: The Movie"?
why am I crying
HOW IS MIKU GOOD WITH EVERY SONG..💔💔
Cause it's Miku
@@yukio9679 fair enough
She’s a machine.
@@Anikom15Live I am aware, I'm just complimenting the work done :)
gumi is way better
Something I love about Miku is how she pronounces her "th"'s
"Life is old dere, Older den da trees"
I wonder if it's a limitation of the Vocaloid technology, or just Miku's "accent" because they're using Japanese language phonemes?
I feel no shame playing this in my car
Same I’m playing it in my car rn lmao
Wtf is your pfp lol
Agree finally find a miku song that can be played in my car
U guys have my respect
currently in hospital for broken back and this really helped, thanks
Hope you get better soon

right though?? it's still heavily accented but it's very clear.
How do they do it now?
@@seronymus English Miku software released around 2016 or so
Theres a multi language miku now. And this is still not the most clean one.

Ah yes, everybody knows that Hatsune Miku actually came from West Virginia.
im 50% sure that I remember hearing the writer of country roads didn’t come from WV
This one goes out to all my "Whisper of The Heart" fans.
I love that movie :D
Concrete roads!
AYYYYYY :))
why does this actually sound good 😭
It’s not very easy to make a perfect song sound bad.
Cuz it's miku
Because miku
Miku always makes everything better

My mom always blasts this (not the vocaloid version) out of the car window while we’re driving while we’re in West Virginia to embarrass me
I'm sry but I love this song
i mean yes, it's a meme at this point, but who genuinely hate this song? this classic is fire
@@Maruhodo my mom listens to country music 24/7 so i basically grew up with this song
I personally think John Denver’s other songs are better but by no means do I hate this song. I love it!
I can't believe I found this video 30 minutes after it came out.
Just because youtube recommended me Miku sings Take on me.
Fucking beauty

It's not really AI, though, just voice sampling.
It has nothing to do with AI, it's basically a vocoder.
Its not ai at all
found this on my first day of high school. its slowly becoming a tradition for me to listen to it again when a new school year is starting. thanks.

Even in Anime. Concrete Roads and all that from Ghibli

real. Why am I emotional over hatsune miku singing country roads. This is my theme song now
In another 10 years Miku would have the ability to sing most English songs
wdym? She she already does
I know what this reminds me of. At the end of a Konosuba episode, the female characters would sing some country song.
