Great pointers. One more thing that I'd like to mention is that not taking breaks/stretching also increases soreness multifold. Sitting at just one place not only causes skin to get irritated (and yes, pls don't wear loose boxer shorts) but also the muscles don't get any oxygen and become sore (anaerobic). So, I take breaks every 1.5 hours or so and stretch about for 2-3 minutes. Re-hydrate myself and move further.
That’s so well articulated. Your podcasts are always very educational for us. It often is a case with two wheel enthusiasts to ride the bike(s) without knowing how to, or fitting the bikes. I learnt my strengths of riding rear swept pegs from my experience on a road bicycle where bike fitting is very crucial, and engaging different muscle groups to get optimum power delivery and energy efficiency during every long ride helps. Also, keeping core muscles engaged while riding a motorcycle, or even while driving a car, will yield you a pain free ride/drive. And an injury free times ahead. Would love to hear about hydration and nutrition while riding/driving long distances for enthusiasts in another podcasts. It’s often an ignored topic.
