I just bought another one and the Nintendo 64 console off Ebay And the gamecube console with GBA insider to replay HM it's a wonderful life and the friends of mineral town
This game was definitely my childhood. I just pulled my 64 out 2 days ago and I'm already half way through the first winter lol. I paid 55 bucks for my cartridge and I thought that was a pretty penny, can't believe you paid 75 for it lol. The things we do for the games we love 😏
I absolutely love this game. No other HM game I've ever played has even come close to it. Partly due to nostalgia, and partly due to the fact that in my opinion it's objectively the best. Everything about it is simply perfect. Unless you wanna go for a "perfect" run which is borderline impossible, but who cares about that? The absolute joy in this game is taking your time and learning as you go, developing relationships and of course your farm along the way -- naturally.
Dude, been having a hell of a time at work, and just found this while skimming for something to go to bed listening to, nostalgia and calming voice, myes, myes peez, zzzz
This was the first game I even bought online. Couldn't find it in any store within a 100 mile radius of me when it was first released, and had to buy it directly off Natsume's website. It arrived in my mailbox freezing cold on the final Friday of 1999.....my Dad made me wait like an hour for the cartridge to "thaw" lol.....this is what I was playing when the clock struck midnight on Y2K
@@DeltaShinyZeta man I should look in the attic for my old copy then I had no idea. I figure this game was hated ever since stardew valley came out but it was one of my favorite games of all time. This was the first game I played after finally putting down ocarina of time and I put in close to equal amounts of time into both lol. Never would i have guessed it would have held my attention but it did!
This version looks WAY better than the Gamecube games. I never liked how they changed the art style for later versions. I've always wanted to play this game and the one on SNES.
AHHHHHHH!!!!!! My childhood all right here!!!! Shiny, use the walk through on here by IsanWilShrielll. He almost had a perfect run For the Horse and Dog races, brush your horse (when you can buy the brush), fill your dig's bowl each day, and blow the whistle for each one to call them
I think Stardew Valley has really come on to it's own since this video was made. The latest update gives amazing end game content that no other farming sim has ever matched. There are still some nice features about this one though, like the photo album. Was also surprised to see the tree climbing. Nice hidden method to get to a new area. This stardew art style also remains my favourite. Including from the latest version. I think everyone is just super cute in it. Also, I hope not all the rocks are going to be destroyed. They make much better fences than the wooden ones.
I could never really "beat" this game, but I have played through many times. There is supposedly a "perfect" ending although it is very difficult to achieve.
And I hate to correct grammar, but it is pronounced "vin -yerd". Weird I know, but certain bowl sounds are silent Marry Elli! I prefer Karen cuz she's the best looking imho, but Elli does a lot of chores around the house. Brother's name is Gray
i think friends of mineral town(GBA) is the best harvest moon then tree of tranquility. It's sad how SDV has overshadowed HM but it's to be expected at this point due to Natsume/Xseed/marvelous putting out sub par HM/SoS games. If they actually got a decent budget and actually put some effort into a new SoS or HM it could easily become one of the best, but that ain't gonna happen.
Not to be pedantic, but "Natume" isn't technically wrong, just outdated--the character つ, which we now render in english as "tsu", used to be romanized as "tu". It is pronounced more like "tsu", but transliteration is an inexact process, and standards change.
Quit complaining about other outlets. It’s a bad look. Just focus on your love for the games. You have a great personality and speak well... who cares about what other outlets say about the games you love.
It is sad. It's one of the very few HM games I've never been able to play and I'd really love to :(. Hard to justify a couple hundred bucks just to play it (hardware, cart, etc).
It is 2019, I walked into GameStop last week to jokingly ask for N64 games and walked out with this. Best purchase in a while!

Nice to see someone who adores this game as much as I do!

Why would people hate it because of stardew valley?
Just got this in the mail last night. Excited to play!
The characters families, pairing and personalies fit so much better in this game. Why did they change it all?
this is the guy I turn to for harvest moon
if you want to get Karen show her your dog every 50 times she goes up a heart color
I just bought Stardew Valley.....it reminded me so much of this game I had to watch a walkthrough of it!
same
It's 2020 and all I want is a switch port of this haha
Bring back old memories
I just downloaded harvest moon. Back to nature on PS1 and always assumed it was the same game but on 64. I guess not, this game actually seems better
This version looks WAY better than the Gamecube games. I never liked how they changed the art style for later versions. I've always wanted to play this game and the one on SNES.
Yeaaah i finished this gane, i loved that
Later versions ended up not even being made by the original creators. Original creators ended up going towards story of seasons:)
And the story of seasons games are great I love the fomt remake.
This is one of my favorites! Ever! 😃

Sooo... never got to play Harvest Moon 64, but I did play Back to Nature and loved it.
I use the rocks in the garden for borders and walkways.
I really like your voice! 👍🏻
It’s on the Wii U now
Glad it is!

This is my fav game
commonly irl fish tend to bite well early in the morning
we bought this game 2 or so years ago and it was around $30 for us. played the hell out of it.
I love this game and had it back in 1999 as a toddler but I still think magical Melody is the best and second for this one
And I hate to correct grammar, but it is pronounced "vin -yerd". Weird I know, but certain bowl sounds are silent

I didn't even know I existed for n64. Put u paid a lot of this good for u
the legendaries fish..
Do you play Suikoden too ?
How do you fish
Ill give you one of my rods
With great difficulty!! Fishing is so hard in this game.

This video is so cool.

It's not wrong on its own, but it's wrong since it's inconsistent with the transliteration chosen for the logo at 0:01
I found the translation errors pretty funny.
I like waffles
Doesn’t look as good as back to nature but that’s probably just the low amount of v ram on the n64

IGN is garbage. Just a fact.
the 1st harvest moon game ever...
Its not
Harvest Moon GB and Harvest Moon GBC were also released in North America before this
It's still an amazing game though.
It's never been ported because the code is a hot mess. It's sadly just not possible to get it up on the eshop, because it's such a mess.
It is sad. It's one of the very few HM games I've never been able to play and I'd really love to :(. Hard to justify a couple hundred bucks just to play it (hardware, cart, etc).
Remaster??
As someone who used to Gameshark this game religiously 20 years ago, it doesn't shock me to hear what a mess the code for this game is
I totally believe it. The game itself is a little buggy as it is.
I was actually just looking through the WiiU shop today, and it's definitely in there.
😺
play twom
Better art than light of hope, I hate that new half assed way of making 3d games, so bland
