Regarding the major life expectancy increase since the 1950s, the drop in diseases such as diphtheria, h. influenza, hepatitis a and b, measles, mumps, pertussis, pneumococcal disease, polio, rubella, smallpox, tetanus, and varicella has been significant. Life expectancy has increased, but we’re still dying from different things. Mortality still 100%! Love the podcast!!
And those are all decreased from infrastructure-food distribution, clean water, sanitation, etc. Now we’re poisoned by carcinogenics, so out of the frying pan, into the fire.
I always thought that exclusively limited peoples years of life. But the 120 was how long the people of earth had left before the flood. It took Noah that long to build and stock and fill the Ark. so now I am wondering where we get that it numbered man’s life? Is it something in translation?
People lived into the 900's before the flood but life expectancy drop after the flood. God put a life span of 120 on us after the flood. In one of the Psalms it says something about a generation being 70 years and 80 with strength. The people misbehaving and the fallen angels creating giants, hybrid humans, human-animal hybrids, mixed animal hybrids, etc made God decrease our life spans.
Methusalah lived to 969 years and then the flood came right after he died. But he was only several generations from Adam. We however are a copy of a copy of a copy and thousands of generations away from Adam. So our DNA is so corrupted. I can't imagine living to even 150 with how I feel having worked in Manufacturing and distribution warehouses all my adult life.
The age thing is completely plausible because we are told later on; When mankind had become corrupted in the period preceding the flood, God said: 'My spirit shall not abide in man for ever, for he is flesh; his days shall be a hundred and twenty years' (Gen. 6:3) There is what I consider undebatable truth. MEN debating scripture doesn't make it nil. Men are, and have always been wrong, about so many things. The fact is that no one can say anything with certainty because we were not there. We have faith that what scripture says is true... pointless to debate any of it. You guys seem to put a lot of faith in science too... I cannot do that.
Very cool talk❤
Soooo glad for the prophecy in Ezekiel 18 of Jesus breaking generational curses.
Music is great on Sundays, but I would be totally for cutting it by 5-10min and adding that time to the sermon just to get a bit more. Just sayin' :)
God willing my paternal grandfather will be 94 years of age this upcoming May 8th

Please consider a small worship or study group down here in Columbia. I feel like I'm on an island down here!
