- Hey guys, I'm here to share my last big purchase of 2023! It was an unexpected call from the Rolex AD that my watch was ready for me, when originally I was supposed to wait over one year. Feeling very lucky :)

Do you mind sharing what is your wrist measurement? I’m debating adding the small panthere into my collection but I think my wrist would need the medium.

yes please do vlogs (travel and non-travel) rui! while i enjoy these sit-down talking videos about purchases, i really enjoy watching people's slice of life so much as you get to see the person's items 'in action' haha while learning more about their everyday life and personality :)

Both watches are stunning. Please give us a long term review for both. Now that you had the rolex for a few months, how often did you wear it? do you feel safe with it on the streets? do people notice that it is a rolex? when and why do you decide to wear the panthere over the rolex?
Thank you! I wear my Rolex almost every day, as I live in Germany / frequent Japan I haven’t felt unsafe with the watch yet. I do go to London occasionally but I was in long sleeves during all the trips so I haven’t felt targeted at all. I would probably avoid wearing it in summers in London though.
I wear the panthere over Rolex when I am wearing more jewelry because I feel that it’s more subtle 🙂
The DJ 31 looks amazing on you. Congratulations to you! I feel the same way when I got the call on my YM40. Just in time for my birthday 🥳
I think the YM is my favorite men’s model from Rolex, congrats 🎊 I’m very glad that my measly 13.5cm wrists means I will never have to go on a waitlist for a sought after model because I definitely do not have the patience 🤣

how long did you wait for yours?
I got it about 4-5 days after messaging the SA to reiterate my interest but my first visit was in the end of September, so about 2 months 😊

Im surprised that these two tone datejusts are waitlisted items in Japan and Germany. Congrats on your beautiful watch and more so on skipping the dreaded waitlist. Here in the states, not only is it very easy to get two tone datejusts 36mm and under, but it's also the case for stainless steel. Here you can pretty much walk in and get any ladies models you want with no wait, however, any stainless steel sports models here are impossible to get. I wonder if the opposite is true in Germany and Japan. Its interesting seeing the the current state of inventory and allocations across different regions. Thanks for sharing your experience and congrats on your piece!
It’s really crazy, I would obviously expect people to wait for GMTs, YM, Daytonas and Submariners but the waiting lists for smaller models especially in TT or PM makes no sense 🥲 my friend in Tokyo has tried to get a lady DJ for 4 months (by going into the shop almost every day) and in the end got a Ballon Bleu from Cartier because it was a pain

Congrats your watch is beautiful! I waited months for my DJ 31 two tone with MOP dial and diamond bezel and jubilee bracelet and that was in California where we have several ADs. Please ignore the comments diminishing you obtaining this! I would love to see their Rolex collections 😏

As a person deeply submerged in the watch community: A bicolor 31mm dj with a diamond face is easy to get and even can be bought under retail again. The ad might still tell you they have a waitlist but will most likely call you instantly as soon as they have your watch back in stock. It‘s just part pf their sales strategy. Just trying to shine some light on the whole waitlist marketing. Congrats on the beautiful piece though
I’m well aware of the reputation of two tone watches and datejusts as well but this is just the way it is in Germany and Japan, as I have first hand experience for both countries. I clarified in the video that this applies only to me and obviously the more popular “male” models work differently. 🤷🏻♀️
What a shitty thing to do. You sum up everything that’s wrong with Rolex. This young lady has a great watch that she loves but yet you feel the need to piss on her chips because it’s “the wrong type of Rolex”.
I’ve owned subs, GMT’s and others but I after many years I settled on an oyster strap gold/steel Datejust with a black face. No doubt you would sneer at it but like this lady, it’s what I like. Just let people enjoy their beautiful pieces, you don’t need to undermine their decision, it’s not nice
