We used to take our Globe Swift over to Winslow, Arizona’s airport because they had an onsite cafe. We’d have a lineup of four old taildraggers tied down in the Arizona wind.
Thank you for such an enjoyable video. It brought all the wonderful memories back from my days of owning and flying N2328B. It is without doubt the greatest little aircraft ever conceived of. Every time I flew her it was a dance much like your video. Once again thanks for capturing that feeling. Rich
I absolutely love your videos. The plane is amazing, the music, amazing. But, today, when I saw the three ship, of Swifts, with the 3rd, blue, with a white stripe on mid wing, checkered wing tips... N80630. Her name is now, Chessie, the Blue Swift. She did three aileron rolls today.
I consider myself lucky. This is my second Swift. My first, Miri, was a polished aluminum museum piece, C-145. A beautiful plane. But, I needed something a little different. Miri, is now owned by a friend, and, I now have Chessie the Blue Swift. The first year, as you know, is fixing many little things that the years have brought forward. She is almost where I want her. Granted, a smaller engine, less performance, but then, the advantages of the excellent (for an airplane) O-320. I was delighted, shocked, to see my plane in your video. Drop me a line if you have any other pictures or videos of her. I look forward to your next video and our paths crossing. Tom "Swift"

And... the blue one, way back in trail, is mine!

Sacha, I am planning a trip up the East Coast in September. Where are you located?
This is one of the best aviation videos I have ever seen… And I watch a lot of them. Thank you so much.
How did you make the smoke trail?
Smoke oil system. injects oil into the exhaust which vaporizes with the heat.
How similar is a Globe Swift to a Spitfire?
They actually have more in common with the P-40 which shared designers with the Swift. All nimble little planes
