Heads up. You need to install Quicktime 7.6 for Windows not the 7.7.9 version as it willl not allow you to finish installing it if you have the 7.7.9 version :)
Why doesnt it let me convert the beat that I downloaded I clicked in the convert tab and nothing. When I click on the beat in my downloads file it does switch over to those two little boxes
Chris, I'm a total beginner. I have a track of guitar and drums. All I want to do is record a bass track onto the guitar and drum track. I can listen to the guitar and drum track and play bass along with it - audio interface is Focusrite Scarlet 2x2 - but I don't understand how to record the bass and then merge them together. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Peace and love, Brady
I appreciate your tutorial. This is the first one I've watched but I will be watching more. I've subscribed to your channel. But a question: I am pretty sure I done this trying to import audio and they didn't copy to the import or clip windows. They were Mp3 files and I tried "convert" as well. It done nothing. It appears that it supports Mp3 but should it be a wav file? I even went to preferences and made sure it was set to be able to. I'm not home right now so I can't tell you exactly what I done. Also, the area in the bottom right of the import audio window was grey and could not be changed. What might be the issue?
im importing from cubase pro into pro tools and pro tools keeps making two files of the same file why? evrytime i import it imorts the same file twice.
hey Chris, im a total beginner in pro tools. When I import an audio (beat) to pro tools it sounds very distorted and noisy. And the problem is that, where you have "convert files", I only have "copy files". Really don´t know what to do man
Icy Red try copying files. One thing I will say is make sure the sample and matches. Also sometimes when you have too much other things using the hardware as the main driver that causes issues as well. I usually make sure my computer main sound source isn’t using the interface so pro tools can. Sometimes restarting works. Sometimes trashing the preferences. But trying matching sample rate first and making sure the computer and no other program that uses the sound is open
for some reason when I try to import a beat, it stays stuck on a number and tries process but won’t ever fully import. if I click cancel, then pro tools will crash. Can anybody help?? I’ve redownloaded it too
hey nice video really informative and your not beating about the bush , so heres my problem i am sure u can resolve it : my imported audio is not giving me any play back neither in the import window nor in the imported audo track , An audio track is created but it plays it seems like the audio track is empty as there are no waves in the track
Cannot open the the selected file because it does not contain data that can be imported via import session data . What does this mean ? Plzzzzzz help lol

@@UnitedDestinyEntertainment I found a work around. I found a free on line converter that converted the .ptx to a .wav and then imported it I to ProTools

It's the same issue when I'm trying to bounce a track. However it only works when I drag and then drop the track. Anyone know an easy way to fix the problem? P.S. I don't receive any error issues.
