- You were told explicitly by your best friend that the magical scroll you were about to touch wasn't one you should handle lightly. But, you know your friend, and she's a bit of a trickster. Besides, it's not like you'd ever handled anything actually magical before. To you, magic didn't exist. The only thing that's 'magical' is just tricks and sleight of hand.
How in the world could a scroll be magical if your friend had managed to get her hands on it? Sure, she was kind of hiding it in her basement, but she did that with the rest of her spooky collection of supposedly powerful artifacts- and none of them had ever done something to you!
A flash of light and... you're no longer in your best friend's dark basement. You're in a bright library and you've managed to slam so harsh into a bookshelf that some books have spilled out.
You rush to fix that, mind blurring with fear.
You begin to panic when you hear a stranger's voice...
