This was so so helpful for anyone considering a solo trip! It can be nerve racking but the freedom to do what you want at your own pace is so worth it!!
I just returned from doing a Christmas Disney solo trip and had a wonderful time. To feel at little more comfortable I stayed at the Disney Pixar Hotel and everyone there was so kind. Many of the rides have "single rider" lanes which made the wait time easier. I did everything I wanted to do and when -- lots of freedom. I never once had time to feel lonely -- way too occupied on just "taking in" the magic of Disney. Highly Recomended
Senior solo traveler. You are never alone. I stay at Pop Century, lots of solo travelers. Solo travelers look for each other & you can plan meals together if you prefer to not eat alone. Best part of my trip is sitting on the benches, chatting with others about our days. I use an ecv at the parks & resort. That gets tricky solo, but not difficult. Upgrade to a preferred room if you’re uneasy, stay on property and only use Disney transportation. See ya in May 24!
I have never been to Disney before, and if I go, it’s likely to be a once-in-a-lifetime trip due to finances. I’d love to go with friends, but I’m scared of differing wants leading to a lot of conflict and resentment. I’ve been considering a solo trip but I’m still kind of on the fence. Thanks for the tips!
Thanks for this, after considering if i should do my first solo disneyworld trip next year i think you made up my mind that i will be fine. Im 55 year old woman and ive been 4 or 5 times with my daughter, a year ago was the last time but shes married now and doesnt want me tagging along but i really want to do disney again!.. im quite familiar with disneyworld, ive never stayed on property before but i think your tip about staying on property is definitely something i will take kn board. Travelling from england i normally would do 2 weeks but i might just do 10 days and skip universal, that way i will be staying in the disney area. Thanks for the tips, i will book for next year. 🙂
Slay!! I did my last solo trip at the end of march/beginning of april, and am going again from the 14th-19th of this month for my birthday. i cant WAIT. its literally how everyone should do disney ngl lol
Love this! It makes me feel more confident in going to Disney solo, especially being female. Safety is always a worry for me. How did you feel on the flight/at the airport?
Safety is huge when traveling solo, just do what you feel comfortable with as far as where to stay and such! Always good to be on guard and vigilant, too! I have a lot of experience flying alone so I felt comfortable. The most uncomfortable time for me was getting through the airport when I arrived in Orlando and trying to locate the Mears Connect. Next time, I will definitely look at a map of the airport before flying so I know where to go when I land!
I find it really helpful to look at airport terminal maps and to look at Google Earth images (often 360°) of terminal interiors. Just helps you to feel confident about where you're going and what you need to look out for (even if that's what I'm doing at the airport while I'm waiting for my plane departure). You can usually download those terminal maps and I highly recommend this for those really large and rambling airports (*cough* Heathrow)
Sci-fi is my favorite sit down when I’m on a solo trip, but getting a reservation for 1 at sci-fi can be a little tricky. When I went to book mine at 60 days out, they only gave me 2 options 10:45am & 8:45pm. However, the second I changed it to a a 2 person reservation it opened up possibilities throughout the entire day. On the other side of that, you are more likely to get a walk up spot as a single person too, so it’s just whether you’re willing to chance it. Love your videos!
this video was so helpful! thinking about doing a mini weekend trip to disney solo for my birthday in may! flower and garden festival is during that time as well so that could be fun!
Ty for this trip report. I will be on my first 70 yr old solo trip this September. I love the F&W festival and will probably spend most of my time there! Where can I find a list of rides that offer single rider sections?
I did some solo parts my last trip when I met up with my mom and her friend. Dinned at Skipper Canteen solo and it wasn't bad! I had to charge my phone so I wasn't working on reels and photos like I usually would but it gave me a chance to absorb the atmosphere of the restaurant and I loved it!!
I always carry a powerbank so that doesn't happen to me; bcos I'm so dependent on my phone these days, as I solo travel quite a bit. Part of my trip planning is entertainment planning. I'll buy and download seasons of TV series or movies that I generally don't have time to watch and I specifically have these so to watch while dining solo (earbuds non-negotiable). Everyone else is having fun, I figure why can't I?
@@thetoristory you can still use your phone while charging. I certainly would've been. But I try to 'disappear' as much as I can in crowded places, and my phone is my survival mechanism for that
Yay, so happy to see this! My first solo trip will be two days.. figured I'd keep it short in case I hate it haha.. then, I can plan a longer one in the future :) How long did you have to wait to be dropped off on Mears Connect? I've done it before and had to hit several resorts before getting to my own, and I feel like it ate up so much time!
That's awesome though! Like I said, I think you can fit a lot in for a short trip when you are solo! They only stopped at 1 resort before Pop century so I guess I got lucky - I also flew in on a weekday so the bus was not even full!
I did a solo trip back in 2018 (only my 2nd time in orlando) and have been back to orlando 2023 also solo but not disney trip ...wpuld love to do a disney solo trip again soon , im from uk ❤
It was so relaxing and also fun! I did not mention the cost, just because price for trips can vary so much but mine cost around $1200 for hotel and park passes only!
I’m planning a solo trip for October Ive never been before so that’s what kinda worries me. I have literally no idea what to expect like small things like what is Genie +, what is Lightning Lane, where do you park when you get to your resort, how dinner reservations work. Hopefully my travel agent can help me out!
There are plenty of TH-cam channels that can give you heaps of tips about these issues eg. AboutEars and DFB. Just hunt around, do your research (but if you start with these people first it won't seem as overwhelming)
I’m glad you found it helpful!! I didn’t wait in line a lot, but Disney queues are so interesting with lots of details! Take the time to enjoy it and soak it all in 🥰 Can also play a game or edit photos/videos on your phone!
i take my bag with me!! disney either has small nets in front of each seat, or i put it on the floor and put my leg through one strap for added security 😂

Absolutely agree, it can be so nerve wracking but so worth it in the end! ✨

Great tips on solo travel!!! I love adding extra days to my work travel trips so I can truly relax.

I love this video 🥺🫶🏻🤍
Thank you for watching, I’m glad you enjoyed it 💗
Where did you purchase your necklace? I love it :)
It's from Jo & Co goods! They have lots of cute Disney inspired stuff 💕
Did your Mickey doll join you?
What about ur bag on rides?

@KatieBrown thank you 😊
@@KatieBrownI've heard there are some rides where bags not allowed and lockers are provided?
