- So, here you go! Now you know how to form diminutive forms in Russian. What you do is this:
1. Masculine - add "ик/чик"
2. Feminine - remove the last letter, and add "ка/чка"
3. Words ending on "ка" - insert "еч/оч" before "ка".

Interestingly, when we make diminutives out of names, we'd often use the suffix "еньк" that shows affection even more than "ечк":
Оля - Оленька
Петя - Петенька
Саша - Сашенька
Маша - Машенька
Паша - Пашенька
For neuter nouns we often use "ышк/ошк":
Окно - окошко
Солнце - солнышко
Гнездо - гнёздышко
Горло - горлышко
А форма «Катюха, Настюха, Сашуха, Васюха» и.т.д имеет неприятное/негативное значение?
Не совсем негативное, но немного too casual somewhat negligent.
Парни называют меня "Катюха", но когда девушки тоже так называют, это звучит немного как "hey, pal")))

Знаете, Николь, это очень тонкий момент (it's such sensitive thing). Например, слово "мама". Если мы говорим МАМОЧКА, то это мило и очень приятно, но когда мы говорим "МАМКА", то это грубо. Маша: МАШЕНЬКА (мило), МАШКА (грубовато). Нужно быть осторожным с добавлением суффиксов, используйте только те слова, в которых вы уверены. Суффиксы "ОЧК/ЕЧК/ЧИК/ИК" почти всегда можно использовать, они безопасные, это как во французском суффикс "ETTE" (Katrinette). Я вам советую больше читать, смотреть и слушать, чтобы лучше чувствовать русский язык.

My grandparents corrected me when I used "домка" to mean a little house as "домка' is more derogatory than diminuative.

( Д ) Друг - другик
( Е ) дом > домик

6. Собака changes to собачка
7. Карандаш changes to карандашка.

9. Магазин changes to магазинка
10. Голова changes to головичка

I am curious why one would make a word or expression like "tennis grip" into a diminutive? In what situation would you make that cute or endearing? Thank you, Fedor.
In an example where you say "My wonderful overgrip brought me the victory" or something.
Can we use these rules with people names?
When you say every single noun, does that include proper ones such as Russia or Fedor? If so What is the difference between the short form and the diminutive? for example if Ivan becomes Vanya for close friends would it be the same if i call him Ivanchik? Or would it just be weird or offensive?
Иванчик would be a diminutive of a diminutive lol
That would be okay if that's the way you call him and he's okay with that. Typically people are picky to how they're called. Wouldn't be outright offensive, but it depends on the person!
And what is the rule for the neuter? For example: окно - окошко or окошечко

I have one question, the letter ч is always pronounced soft; is that a reason why we place soft sign ь before the letter ч . Thus the word стульчик.
No, the reason is because we want to make л softer.

masculine words can get -ец, -ок, -ик, -чик or -ёк ending.
feminine words can get -ка, -очка or -ица ending.
neutral words can onlu get -ок ending.
for example Брат - братец

Pierre, ВЕДЬ ets très similaire au ЖЕ, on utilise se mot pour accentuer des certains mots :
Я говорил / j'ai dit (neutre)
Я же говорил!!! / J'ai dit! (C'est plus émotionnel)
Я ведь говорил! / J'ai dit (encore plus émotionnel)
Я знал / je savais (pas d'émotions)
Я же знал!/Я ведь знал! / Mais je savais ! ( Il y a des émotions par example "c'est dommage ! Je savais mais j'ai rien dit")

Dans se cas, tu peux penser au "After all" en anglais, après tout en français.
Ведь она рада? / Elle est contente après tout?
Ведь ты хочешь поехать / tu veux y aller après tout

if you form "фотечка" from "фото" (photo), then "фотОчка"

Sounds like it is, but it's so deep into our language that it became a word of its own.
It derives from малый - small (adjective).
