Wind tunnels are something manufacturers need to take more seriously-wind buffeting can wreck an otherwise cracking bike. Triumph still hasn’t sorted this issue, and it’s about time they did!
I agree with the comments made previously, best real world review I've seen on the bike. Some of the other Vloggers didn't even have the right spec of the bike, stating that it was a bored and stroked 660 Tiger engine, no it's not !! It's a completely new engine !!
I don't know why. Taking my 1200xc off road is great fun. Get some crash bars and practice picking it up. I've only ever dropped mine on asphalt. Lucky?
@@IanTed Got to ride a tiger 900 while my 765 was getting serviced. Heated grips and seat were very welcome mid November, but indeed the ride was so plush. Stepping back on my own bike almost felt punishing, but then again I had my suspension modified and I set it up for cornering, not so much for comfort.
It seems that the ktm is more comfy (for the pillion) and more fun. If the ktm doesn't belong on this category, with the tiger/tracer 9/xr900, so in which category belongs?
What exactly is in ‘the class?’ I’m presuming the tracer 900 , but the new one is hardly what what would describe as attractive , it’s expensive and then we have the BMW 900 again expensive but it’s only a parallel twin , I guess the voge 900DS would be in the class if only for the engine size but is it an adventure bike ? But then with all the extras fitted most will use it just for touring on road … the exact same BMW 900 engine but with all kind of toys thrown at it as ‘standard’ making it very attractive deal but it’s an adventure bike handling 🤷🏻♂️. So this new triumph is not only the best looking in the class but upright seating gives long distance comfort in a road bike frame , panniers without ugly frame work that simply clip on easily , pillion sized seat … all at a very competitive price , personally I think this bike is a breath of fresh air in a market dominated by ‘adventure bikes’ for so long it’s possibly time to find a nice midsized sporty fun practical affordable road bike and in that ‘class’ there is nothing else … triumph have done well with this apart from those clocks 😂😂😂😂 so maybe make the same bike but using the 1200 engine , throw shaft drive into the thing and have a BMW S1000XR beater
It's a good looking bike, but with all that Honda have to offer with their new CB1000 Hornet priced 2 grand cheaper for the basic model, Triumph need to up their game.
I see these kinds comment in every one of the Tiger Sports 800 and its either haters or bots cos else you can’t explain the ignorance. The Hornet is a sports naked has no fairings and there’s no options for panniers or top box. This bike is a sports touring bike through and through and is designed to eat up big miles in a spirited way so you can go on a week long escape trip, so they don’t play in the same field. No serious person who is considering this bike for its intended purpose (sports touring) will think they want a Hornet and vice versa.
All new bar that pathetic outdated cheap dash , pointless exercise nice bike then go and spoil it, the next up date probably will new paint better brakes and a new dash call it a new model next year, typical triumph change a few things every year pub the cost of ownership 😢
It reminds me of my ‘91 Yamaha TDM850, a bike way ahead of its time.
But this is more fun

I can only imagine how great it is. I had the 660 and absolutely loved it.

Thanks I think
Love the styling of these
Ohhh Snap
Daytona 800 incoming.
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
It looks beautiful!!
Best real world review I've seen on this bike so far - can always rely on 'The Chad' 👍
Love the Chad
I also like the clock; lets the ride be the star of the show.
agreed
Triumph has a got a winner here.
It ain’t too bad, I’m not in the market for such bike but I’d love to try one
So not a longer stroke 765? Looks very nice, good job Triumph.
103% of adventure bikes only ever see asphalt anyway.
But they are comfier…

Chad has turned into Chris for hoisting em up! We ❤️ wheelies! 🔥🔥
I’m older Chris turned into me
Closed road professional rider
Looks like a great bike & top value 😎👍
Brilliant
How was the wind noise Chad ? I rode a 660 and can understand why people don't keep them long.
Hard to tell as we had really bad weather 40mph winds
I trust that new model's properly run in...🤪
Never buy an ex journo bike 😆
Looking forward to seeing it compared to the Tracer, seems like the intended target.
I like!!!😊
Id be interested if it does not have the t-plane crank and odd firing order
It all seems to be very good but is it good enough that I sell my 2019 Tiger 800XRT which serves me well? Time for a test ride.
All these grown men bitching about a dash 😂😂😂.
Give it a year and used market on these will be a great little winter/light touring hack.
I hate yellow but I love the styling.
Another quality, reasonably priced option available for people to choose. What's not to like?!
Thais build good bikes
It looks stunning... A real nice "proper" sports tourer. We've had too many tallrounders. Only thing letting it down for me is that shitty dash.
Bumblebee
Why nobody speaks for the smt 890 on this category?
Fair point good bike

Seems hard to keep the front wheel on the ground.
Maybe de 17' is to light...😂
@@LennartMakinen clearly a design fault. 😂
That's some fancy helium filled front tyre I expect.

Are you waiting Tiger Sport 1200??
The VFR800 was a boring bike? Is that V4 a joke to you good sir??
Good engine good bike just not thrilling
The new 2025 tracer is £14000.
This or the 890smt
