Thank you so much for your time and sharing with us. Your wife is awesome and a very patient lady ❤️ and of course gorgeous. I'm a straight woman yet I can see, no disrespect at all. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻💕
Isn't that a two-sided medal though, Ola? Being recognized at every venue or gig that has guitars or features metal? Wondering how you and Louise cope with that.
I'm not a huge Dream Theater fan, but dang, John Petrucci is the real deal...Put aside his skill on the guitar, he is just a warm and gracious human being....Congtats to you Ola....well done....You shouldn't feel intimidated by anyone, you have carved your own space and do what you do ....and it's pretty great
I know Ola probably hated it, but I think my favorite part of this was the Day 2 moment getting nervous on stage with his favorite guitarist. I can't even imagine trying to control your emotions and perform in front of a legend. Struck an emotional chord with me; seeing him get to have that experience. Proud of this guy.
To me, it just shows that Ola is a human being. I think most people would get nervous performing in front of someone they greatly admire and whose been a hero, idol, or whatever you like to call it.
I'm from iran and can't move anywhere due to so many problems that we have in here. I almost cried watching this amazing vlog from the camp. This place seems like my one and only heaven that i don't know i could ever participate in it. Thanks for this vlog❤️
That was really cool. Surrounded by guitarists of all types and learning. Thats whats so great about the instrument. You can never stop learning. I'm 53 about to be 54 in Sept. I've been playing since 1984. I learn new things all the time. Thats what I love. You have such a great attitude man. You are a genuine real person and still a fan yourself. I have tremendous respect for you. Petrucci is so amazing , along with the others. He made a wise choice by asking you to be a part of it. Keep up the good work man. You are Awesome.
Same here - almost 58, and playing guitar since '82 (after first learning music on organs since I was 4), and you're absolutely right: Never, ever stop learning and developing new things, new sounds, new techniques, new *gear* 🤣👍.... Just look at what has been developed already: far better ergonomics, extended ranges, additional strings, and a massive variety of pickups, strings, hardware... All tools to take a next step on our musical journey, and all those things are available at prices to suit any budget as well! Wish we had that back in the day 😉👍 Keep going, brother!! 🙏😎
Every one of those guys who have played in front of thousands of peoples (if not hundreds of thousands) over the world going like "Hey Ola, supp dude?". Just wholesome and pure bliss!
23:22 I wish every teacher could learn from this. So many times in school I felt that teachers could provide a little more support for students who were nervous. Petrucci is amazing. Thank you for sharing this moment Ola.
Also, when John points you out and greets you, I legit got the biggest smile on my face. Thank you for being an ambassador for guitar players everywhere man!! Peace
I really love how John Petrucci makes Ola feel like his kid, with al his patience and pep talks……wish my dad was like that 😊. Ola you are to me what JP is to you a role model, hero and a super great guy, thanks for that man 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
The thing I love the most about you Ola, is how humble you are. How kind and thoughtful you are to everyone around you. The fact that you were there as a student shows how seriously you take your art.
OLA'S humble and kind and an awesome rocker and it's always come through on his uploads, always, since he started and he really loves the music in a big way. I've been watching a long time from America. Cheers 🍾🥂🤘🏻🎸🎵🎼🎶🎶
John and Ola sitting together at 28:23 is super cute. You can tell John genuinely really likes Ola, and Ola looks beyond happy to be there. Try not to be too hard on yourself being nervous too man, you’ve done a lot and these are the types of circles you’re now in, and for good reason man you deserve it. You’re a great dude, a great father, a great husband, and a killer musician. I’m just really happy to see you enjoying yourself so much man! Keep it up!
I gotta say, seeing Ola fill in for the drums with some of the best guitar players of this era is not something I expected, congratulations for holding it down, that has to be a cross off the bucket list !
Music is community. Great example of how fantastic players are sharing knowledge. Everyone involved are pure gold. Such a blessing for guitarists at any level to be a part of this. Cheers!
Could you ever imagine that playing guitar and recording videos would take you to a hotel in Florida where you share a stage with one of your idols and he’s telling you to not be nervous and we all love you 🤯? Your hard work and dedication is pure inspiration. You deserve it all Ola. Cheers!
Ola you are so kind with your fans this is amazing. I saw Ben Affleck yesterday and kindly asked for a photo and he yelled at me as ''no no no get away'' lol
Ehm, I can't tell if this was a joke and if so I'm sorry it went over my head but dude.. Mike Mangini was there 😅 in the drumming word, he's a pretty fucking big name man
36:43 Best part of the video, imo. The joy on your face playing this Pantera song is just so obvious and communicative! I'm glad you and Louise were able to attend this edition of the camp. But, please, next time, have more confidence in yourself and share your experience with us. You've got a lot to teach, Ola, don't doubt it.
What an amazing experience! Guitar players are so fortunate to have this kind of community in this current era of guitar-driven music. There wasn't anything like this when I was growing up back in the 80s. Ola looked like he was both honored and embarrassed to be there and had the time of his life, meeting his heroes, peers and fans all in one place.
This guitar event John puts together looks really cool! There really is something for everyone there. It’s fun to see all these metal and rock dudes appreciate some more traditional acoustic playing. Just a really fun time with stellar education, great people, and lots of music. Looks like the big news story here is that Tim Henson chopped his hair off, lol! I hope you can go back again, Ola. Thanks to the musicians who took part and to John for asking Ola to take part so we can see a slice of the pie!
What a treat to have Joscho Stephan there!!! He's such a hero for me and he's from my Neighborhood as well! Edit: I really hope he becomes a regular there, I would like to meet him along with all my other heroes.
23:20 that's why i love John Petrucci my major influence ever. Im from Brazil, live in a poor city in state of Maranhão, so Dream Theater never will play here and i don't have much money to see them in São Paulo or Rio, but one day i hope see him live maybe talk a little bit with the master. And Ola, thank you man for posting this, you one of my guitar references in terms of playing aproach and guitar tone. I watch your videos since i was a kid.
I am really happy to see the recognition you are getting Ola! - you have done a huge, great work and so great to see that it is paying off. And your wife there with you, priceless!
Amazing! Thanks for sharing your experience, Ola! Those of us who couldn't make it appreciate it very much. Looking forward to JPGU 5.0. Keep rocking and congrats on the great content. 🤘
Thanks for sharing this, Looks like a ball of fun! I love that what made me smile the most of the entire thing was the late night jam at the very end. Just you and Fredrik jamming Pantera with the regular campers. Thats what these are all about!
It's so cool to see all these different artists doing what they do best. Thanks to John Petrucci. He is without a doubt an icon and what he does will change guitar world forever. There has never been a better time to pick up your instrument and just start to play. Do it guys. All the information is right there, just one click and you will get almost endless tutorials, tabs, videos and so on. Thank you Ola for giving us the chance, to share this amazing event with us. You're the best man!
So many legends in one room. What an experience! If I wasn't on tour myself and seeing Metallica that week I would've been there. There's always next year!
Poor Ola being nervous up there on stage. I totally felt for you. That would be me too nervous as hell dropping the pick. You did great job and what a cool event to be a part of.
In the Abasi room at the beginning.. I just LOVE to see dudes my age or older with those younglings :) that warms my heart.. to see that generations dont mean all that much in this cool music community..
Now, thát is a very warm welcome indeed, Ola 😀👍 And well deserved too! Have fun, learn new stuff, meet people - this definitely looks the place to give your ambitions (as a musician ánd as an owner of a worldwide known guitar brand!) room to become reality, man...
This had to be so awesome to be surrounded by beautiful people all there for an amazing experience, the amount of knowledge in there must have been overwhelming so excited for you Ola to be in there
I realized that I was naturally smiling towards the end of the video. I hadn't been able to watch a video without skipping ahead for a long time, but I watched this one in one go. I think if this vlog were 5 hours long, I would've watched it without any breaks. Thank you.
Say hi next time you're in Florida 😊 looks like you and Louise had a nice time 👍Tasteful is just what I said about Lari. I'd be nervous too, if I had to play John's guitar in such a high position up in my armpit. Anyway that was fun to watch❤️ ❤
Fantastic, awesome coverage of a guitar players dream. As someone who makes a living on the bottom rung of guitar playing I could never afford to attend something as cool as this but you have given us all areal taste of what the experience is like. As usual… top work my man, top work and thank you.
I have to say your guitar and Gutri's have the best looks. I love natural wood and the visible structure of the wood. It makes me want to hug such an instrument. Not to mention the good feeling of the instrument..
What a great guy John is a stand up guy when Ola drops his pick and John says what he said. We all know John is a legend guitar player but he's more humble of a human than he is a guitar player. Ola you were amazing I wish I was there to see that in person. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Great meeting you man! (I was the guy at dinner with the sleeve and green AZ). Great vlog that does a really good job encapsulating the whole experience
Beautiful production value on the filming and editing. Thank you Mr England for capturing and sharing this and to Mr Petrucci for clearing the capturing of parts of the camp. Looks like it was awesome.
You must have a very supportive wife! Thank you for doing this, Ola, greetings from Bangladesh. I would have had no idea what it was like to be at JP guitar universe otherwise.
I took 5 hours of material and made this 36 minute VLOG. Check Channel 2 for more clips th-cam.com/channels/cv_d_n6xibI7YYeXDEX9mg.html
Thank you so much for your time and sharing with us. Your wife is awesome and a very patient lady ❤️ and of course gorgeous. I'm a straight woman yet I can see, no disrespect at all. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻💕
Can't wait to see more! 🤘thank you for sharing all this
Gutherie dominated as usual, that small Guthrie clip was ridiculous, but he actually plays like that all the time.
This was really awesome! It was so good to see you and Louise having a blast! The music was nothing but straight fire!
Sweet I look forward to checking it out also!!
Everyone just knowing who Ola is, what a buzz for you mate.
Seriously! Imagine walking up to meet your idols and have THEM cheer to meet YOU.
everyone loves Ola
Yes, that was awesome. He came as a guest or even pupil, but he was one star more.
Isn't that a two-sided medal though, Ola? Being recognized at every venue or gig that has guitars or features metal? Wondering how you and Louise cope with that.
Everyone knows Ola as a guitar blogger, but few people are sure that he can play the guitar))))
I'm not a huge Dream Theater fan, but dang, John Petrucci is the real deal...Put aside his skill on the guitar, he is just a warm and gracious human being....Congtats to you Ola....well done....You shouldn't feel intimidated by anyone, you have carved your own space and do what you do ....and it's pretty great
Being humble and in control of your own ego is necessary in order to become a decent human being.
Yeah, cant stand dream theatre. They bore me to death, even more boring live when i saw em open for maiden but john has always been cool
@@GeorgeZimmermen metalcore kid?
@@torjones-7whats actually metalcore? What are some bands that are representarive of it, real question
Cheers to that my guy. I wish you best luck.
Hey I made it into the video :) I’m the guy with the signed poster. Thanks for the conversations and it was really cool hanging out with you
Great meeting you man!
You should bring Vlatko Stefanovski, greath Balcan player.
Tears in my eyes when Petrucci gives Ola the word about not being nervous. What a great moment. And the humor is killer.
I'm from iran and can't move anywhere due to so many problems that we have in here. I almost cried watching this amazing vlog from the camp. This place seems like my one and only heaven that i don't know i could ever participate in it. Thanks for this vlog❤️
Try to take full advantage of the opportunities available in your culture and heritage. Lots of people want to visit Iran but can't.
That was really cool. Surrounded by guitarists of all types and learning. Thats whats so great about the instrument. You can never stop learning. I'm 53 about to be 54 in Sept. “I don’t wanna stereotype Swedish” and then he started joking in Italian.
How to not love John.

We are living our dreams through you… Man, you’re officially a legend! Thanks for this vlog! 🤘🏽
what an adventure Ola!...so many people fingering the g string on level 69!
This must been like a dream come true, to talk and interact with all those great guitarists👏👏🙂
Rumor is.... J-Lo is making Ben miserable.
Ola you are the most famous drummer on this camp, much love man awesome VLOG
Ehm, I can't tell if this was a joke and if so I'm sorry it went over my head but dude.. Mike Mangini was there 😅 in the drumming word, he's a pretty fucking big name man
Ola,has definitely earned his place among these awesome guitar players.
The love and respect these guitar players has for you is so. well deserved, Ola...!!!
John flip'n burgers and having Ola on stage was great. Best part of it all. It can only get bigger and better from this.
That majesty looks so tiny on Ola 😂 Man, what a wonderful experience this looks
Strap was so high up. It was one of John’s touring guitars :)
Similarly to the Petrucci interview, it is fun to watch the otherwise deadpan, cool Ola being nervous next to Petrucci. We love you Ola!
What an amazing experience! Guitar players are so fortunate to have this kind of community in this current era of guitar-driven music. What an amazing video and camp. Extra points for Ola for playing the drums😊💪

Awesome Ola! Thanks for that glimpse! It looks like it was a blast! I don’t miss that heat and humidity though!!!
the pick drop was calculated! it's Ola's entrance !
It was an incredible weekend all around. Looking forward to reliving it here.
Thank you Ola and Louise for taking us with you! Greetings from Finland!

The best line of the weekend
Rock on Ola
10:47 - lovely mixolydian outlining there with that awesome swept arpeggio by Jason Richardson!
This looked like so much fun, I love how John is worried about you being nervous what a legend
long story short, one of my favorite vids from OLA ever.
What a treat to have Joscho Stephan there!!! He's such a hero for me and he's from my Neighborhood as well!
Edit: I really hope he becomes a regular there, I would like to meet him along with all my other heroes.
So awesome you appreciated Josh Stephan. Gypsy jazz is whole different beast, different picking technique, different everything.

"someone smoking pot" that's me! Welcome to America! GREAT VOG OLA!
I was nearly in tears to see Ola on stage with his guitar hero... cheers man!
Happy for you. We all need to shake up stuff sometimes to be re-inspired and re-energized - getcha pull!
You deserve all this love and respect, Greetings from Colombia!
6:46 - When a master stops his presentation to say "Hey!", you know you're doing something right.
What a great guy John is a stand up guy when Ola drops his pick and John says what he said. We all know John is a legend guitar player but he's more humble of a human than he is a guitar player.
Ola you were amazing I wish I was there to see that in person. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Great Vlog Ola!! Glad Louise and you enjoyed the event!
Lari Balisio's smile speaks for it self. Self Incredible! 💜💜💜💜
Man, that looked like a good time.
Everyone seemed so cool and supportive.
I can only imagine how inspired and fired up someone would feel after that.
Seems like a really great, humble and down to earth atmosphere to be in while learning guitar. Ola and John jamming almost made me teary-eyed.
Looks amazing, so much talent in one place :) Ola must have felt like a king with all of the shoutouts whenever he walked into a room
Great meeting you man! (I was the guy at dinner with the sleeve and green AZ). Great vlog that does a really good job encapsulating the whole experience
I had so much fun there!! Dialing that tone was insane! Loved all the talks! I had such a great time there!!
I met Lari last year, She instantly became one of my new favorite players. Very down to earth and an incredible player!
Ugh Lari's tone is just THE freaking coolest for slight crunch, single coil rhythm guitar. I love her to death...
Beautiful production value on the filming and editing. Thank you Mr England for capturing and sharing this and to Mr Petrucci for clearing the capturing of parts of the camp. Looks like it was awesome.
Ola, we are proud of your success, you always deliver killer riffs and tone as you showed us here AND you kick ass. 👍👍🍻🍻.
Vilken jävla grej att kunna göra en vlogg av!
Ola literally turning heads every time he walks into a room. You're the belle of the ball!
I love it, wish come more detaily videos about the camp
I was at the JPGU 1.0 in New York so this video brings back many incredible memories. Thanks Ola!!
You must have a very supportive wife! Thank you for doing this, Ola, greetings from Bangladesh. I would have had no idea what it was like to be at JP guitar universe otherwise.
Your an influence and inspiration to millions Ola….. and probably the most humble along with John and a few others.
I can't tell you how many times I smiled watching this. Thank you
Great to hear some string buzz from John. It dispels the myth of a no-buzz guitar.
That looked so cool and fun and anything a guitarist could ask for. Superamazed. I would've flatlined playing anything with JP
