The grandparents forced two people who hated each other to get married and raise a child they both hated deeply. They failed as grandparents as well, all for the sake of an idea of a perfect picture family that would never exist outside of their heads, instead of the reality of abuse and neglect they saw happen, fomented and answered with more violence. And OP knows that, they are their first names or "maternal grandparents", "paternal grandparend", "my mother's father", "my mother's father". The only innocent in this whole tragedy is Op
The amount of times that I have told or explained to grandchildren that there is no possible way that their grandparents are absolute saints like they think or feel even when they mess up a little bit they're like my grandparents are the best things ever. I get that's because your parents weren't what they should have been to you so you see them the way you should see your parents in a sense and you also see them in even almost better light because they're not your parents and they stepped up. However just like you have issues that affect your life because of your parents your parents have issues that affect their life because of their parents who happen to be your grandparents who you adore. They'll go my grandparents gave my mom everything and loved her so much or they did this or that or yeah they messed up but. And I'm like whether they were they gave your mom everything and they were technically neglectful parents if she never had any consequences to her actions or they were inattentive or they would try to make up for their mistakes but your mother father couldn't handle the mistakes that they had already made they couldn't get over it regardless the cycle is the same your mom was a child before your dad was a baby. You know what I mean?
Wow...these "parents" (I use that term VERY loosely) are absolutely disgusting, and the grandparents suck too. I get they wanted the parents to step up but damn....they knew how bad this was, they knew how much they hated OP, and yet they still forced them to play happy family- ignoring the terrible and dangerous position they were putting a child in. At least they did do the right thing eventually.
I do not agree with forcing young people to marry over a pregnancy.. A friend mine started dating this girl who was 23, she had 5 kids. I didn't think much of her at first, but my friend ask me to give her a chance, so I did and we became friends. She got pregnant before 15, and her mother forced her to marry.. Acvording to her,, he abused her badly; so after 2 kids and a bad divorce,, she met another guy and married and she said he was worse.. I've met these guys, and they seemed great to me: but I didn't live with them, so maybe they were terrible.
9:27 relatable. In my case work was my escape. I would work four hour shifts but lie and tell my parents they were eight hour shifts. I didn't engage in any level of shenanigan. I just didn't want to be home
Grandfather may have been an abuser to his wife, but once OP was born he did right for her Sometimes a new life is what's needed for one to face his demons
OP's mom was looking for a way out of her abusive household, and when made to keep a child she didn't want took all her hate and trauma and put it on op, that still doesn't excuse what she did to op though. ops dad was just a POS. And the grandparents were just the worst kind of people
Ops mom tried to trap her dad and it backfired on her...he ultimately was forced to marry somebody he didn't want to raise a baby he didnt want... yeah he was an. Ah...
Man! The 💩 fit I would have thrown if it was me! You abuse me for all of my life, never once showed me any love, think of me as a mistake, and then want to throw me out of the only home I've ever known that's by the way legally mine... Ooh you dirty 🧙♀️!!! It would have been on like donkey kong , and if she was still 🫄there'd be a possible miscarriage in the making! 🤬🤬🤬
The both grandparents lost as "parents" but won as "grandparents"

I had a similar childhood as her except my mom was supportive and loving..She is my world
There's no problem being petty if you're right.
I remember going through my mom's stuff as a baby. I also remember getting hugs and kisses after the mess I made. This is just horrid.

It is not OP’s fault that their parents decided to have unprotected relations, they didn’t ask to be here
Well Just one mistake at High school would send OP mom's whole life spiral...

IF MOTHER WAS ABLE TO DRINK 🍹 &. GET DRUNK ? SHE WAS ALSO ABLE TO CARE FOR HER CHILD

Why is it being glossed over that the maternal grandfather was abusive
Because the focus is op and he was not abusive to her.
THERE WAS THOUSANDS OF TEENAGE. PREGNANCY ! AT THAT TIME
