From an overall tactic view, Sauromatia might be a better target. Claiming more of Mavernies territory would stretch our your borders even more. Sauromatia on the other hand looks like a more isolated pocket that is easier to defend.
Retaking Akesta is important to right the wrong from the surprise attack after expansion, and I wouldn't leave a wounded Marverni unless Muspel is ready to finish the job so forces can transfer west safely. Otherwise you'll just end up running back and forth.
