I feel compelled to comment on your statement regarding the random abilities "playing less of the game". I am not terribly well versed in the game but I know of 3 random ability perks/pickups. 1-Treasure map, 2- bottle, 3- (roll random X times for free random). These items add more to the game as opposed to taking away elements. 1)Treasure map adds a dynamic flair to stacking the random sect you roll. Those that play treasure map are sometimes incentivized to diversify their build, or outright change their strategy to gain the treasure. Diversification is not bad overall when it comes to late game. Changing sects to match the treasure can also make the player through diversification. 2) Bottle incentivizes stacking sect abilities for free abilities, I don't think much explanation is needed. 3) random abilities X times for free random abilities ties into the point I made for 1, diversification. The random ability also refreshes the shop so you are only buying abilities that are explicitly OP, and filling up on the extras, for free. To truly define why I think it is not taking away from the game is: I believe all autobattlers are a game of efficiency/economy. Having an economic benefit over your opponents will snowball to a strong late game. Having the diversified build from random (freebies) will likely keep you in the game to a point you are final 3 consistently purely from economic advantage.

I played one game against this one shot build and it was so funny.
Life break with tons of life and crit legendary that garantees crit with magical crits. A magnus with like 6.6k life was killing everyone in 1s of fights. I think the dmg would be like 9k dmg to the opponent with the life break

you should play health i think its the strongest sect if you can get the two legendary ability that let you deal 30 of your health to yourself and the enemy at the start of battle and with the other ability false faith i think was the name you wont die even with out it you can still win easly
15 shadown raze with 46k damage in 1 second at 40:11. Now that a lot of damage
i usually go for a losing streak untill lvl 13 and then spend down to 1000g with relics hopefully ones that increase spending power, in that strategy good peak potential is rather imporatant since i essentially gamble on being able to dominate round 13 forward with superior economy and power with more total abillites. Leads to shortish losses and long victories.

Haven't watched the vid yet, but the title reminded me of me accidentally building Chaos Knight to one shot people.
I had picked up the "magical damage has a chance to crit" card on accident and was like "oh fuck me I'm so done now"
Later picked up the legendary card that deals half your max HP to both players
Then picked up the legendary where the first 3 crits are guaranteed
"Oh this is good" I thought "I can get some attack crits in for a good start"

The enemy just disappeared
I was bewildered and confused as to what I did, if the game bugged, to eventually realize the half HP nuke is magic damage...that will be the first thing we're both hit with...that will be a guaranteed crit
I won that game just absolutely baffled as to what monster I accidentally created
