When I was almost 9 years old that my family adopted a sweet and friendly red tabby cat from being a stray. That was mid July 1979. The 2nd cat was another red tabby cat. He came around late September 1981 when I was 11 years old. It was my fault on him. He was very sweet and friendly,too. This cat was more liked a big lover. He was adopted in mid November 1981. Both cats became good friends really quickly. The 2nd cat was more than mine cat. He was very sweet and friendly towards my sister and my parents. One grandmother liked the 1st cat and the other one liked the 2nd cat. We named them Morris and Ruffy. I had a very special bond with Ruffy. I was buddies towards Morris. They were both different. Ruffy loved his belly rubs.
How sweet is he?! He must be real big now! Did you ever get his eye treated? Hope you and Jupiter are doing well! Ginger cats are so funny & loving, I had one for 15 years.
OMG! What a guy! Ginger boy! Notice his happy (very long!) tail right out of the carrier. Biscuits too! He's a happy boy now! You will find this is the best $600 you ever spent. He'll be your best friend. You are his ... everything!
Even tho i love both cats and dogs, cats just fit my personality better. I love dog energy, but i can only handle it for so long. I love socializing in general and i'm an outgoing person, but i also love my alone time. And cats are the exact same way. They will def play and snuggle with you, but they also need their alone time. This is why i've mostly only had cats.
THAT one point shows him and you on the floor- and his tail is STRAIGHT UP in the air with a curl at the end like a question mark??-- that means-- in cat talk-- " LIFE IS GOOD".... great starting sign.
I wish all cat moms/dads were like you. That's a lucky kitty and I'm sure he knows it. My cat of 11.5 years passed away 9 months ago and I miss her so much every day. I miss having a cat in the house. My only thing is I won't have just one cat next time. I learned how social cats are and it breaks my heart picturing her sitting there day after day for ions waiting for me to get home. Then I'd be too tired to play with her. Makes me cringe. All I can say is, QUESTION what people tell you. I was told that cats are solitary animals and that getting a second one would traumatize her. Not so! Not so! Not so! Most cats get so much enrichment by simply having another one of their species to communucate with, groom, play, etc.
IN a cat bowl-- if you can see the BOTTOM of the bowl- to him it's EMPTY-- no matter how much is around the outside edge. And if you go out long periods-- he's probably sleeping in a sunny spot.
I'm sorry to be another one to tell you the he is as cute as Helsinki. I hope you and Juniper are doing are doing great. I just clicked on subscribe so maybe I'll find that you are.
Check out if he has impacted anal glands (go to the vet). That often is the cause of foul odor. And those glands need to be "expressed" by the vet. But you cat is adorable!!
he's doing so well!! he's almost 2 years old now and has the cutest personality (a lot more food motivated) but is super playful and loves meeting new people
