I did a study for African American women for years until I aged over 40. And of course now at age 47 I am dealing with all of these symptoms. My bleeding and cramping during cycles is crazy. They only see small fibroids. I am going to show my doctor this video.
Thank you for sharing. I have multiple fibroids of different sizes and types. I'm considering a hysterectomy.
The medications have alot of very serious side effects but are effective in shrinking the fibroids. Once you stop taking the meds they tend to grow back. Many times the meds are used to shrink the larger size fibroids down smaller before surgery.
I’ve had heavy bleeding and excruciating cramps with periods ever since middle school and I’m 40 now. I sometimes wish I had fibroids because then I would know what is going on. My gyno says everything is normal and I don’t have fibroids but I seem to have all these symptoms.
Second opinion please

It’s okay to say that black women are more affected by fibroids. Just as it is okay to say black people are more sensitive to salt, etc.
Placating to the sensibilities of groups who apparently are so afraid of recognizing that some things may affect black people in particular more so because of genetics is exhausting. It’s the weird sense of FOMO for me.
What if your fibroid is all twisted up in your Uterus
