    ♡ What's in this video
Curious about floral studio operations? Come behind the scenes in my flower business while I share my five must-have flower studio items from Ikea.
Over the past few years, we've fit out three different shop spaces and set up six at home studios. These Ikea items are still some of my favourites.
If you're just starting out on your flower business journey, this floral studio guide will help. If you're fitting out a flower shop or retail florist, be sure to check out this video too - it gives you my favourite floristry and professional florist tools.
Come behind the scenes and get in on this tour of favourite florist workspace, flower shop set-up and floral workspace resources.
Even if you don't have an IKEA in your area, these five resources are some of my most favourite studio items for florists.
These five floristry tools are helpful, even if you're just a beginner floral designer or want to learn floral design online. This video will help florists at all stages in their career and help you stop constantly Googling "how to set up flower shop," “floral business from home,” and “florist shop tour ”.

It really is! I'm absolutely one of those florists that way over-invested in some of the fancy stuff early on because I thought that's what we were supposed to do. Sometimes the easy solution is the right solution 😅

I learned to use a mirror with my drawings. That’s a great idea because it gives you a different perspective. Just subscribed.

Thanks for all the great videos on pricing. I am a filler and greenery provider with my own land, and I'm striking out with trying to find supply-end of pricing help. Might you include something for us providers. Happy to see so many useful videos from the knowledgable, delightful and funny YOU!

I'm so glad it's helpful! When it comes to looking at wholesale prices, the best option is to sign up for and get access to the wholesale price lists from some of the bigger suppliers in the area. It does take a bit of effort but it's one of the best way to see (a) what they're charing and (b) I'd suggest ordering product from them so you can compare quality too 😍

Thank you! I get confused. So much contradictory info out there. For example, I have seen so many times, the general floral cooler temp should be set in a range from 34-38 Fahrenheit. Also, I personally have found that cool water keeps my blooms lasting longer, especially my beloved David Austin (and others) garden roses in cool water. However, online I have seen countless videos for rehydrating droopy stems or even conditioning stems… with 130 to 150 degrees F water with bleach and sugar (or aspirin) without or without flower food (?).. then instead of snipping the stem with a clean 45degree angle, I have seen them strip the bottom two to three inches to the pulp…
That said, I had received some Romantic Antike Garden Roses AND white Candlelight Roses that were wilting (and or bruising) 13 hours after receipt. Of course, I properly conditioned, fed and stored them at 40F etc etc … just a bad crop or bad supplier???)
I tried the above method to revive the roses Candlelight and the Garden. NO!I made then worse… stems brown all the way up. Death. Mass death. 😅
the misinformation is crazy!!!! $500 Lesson learned a
I can trust you and I thank you for that.

Hi Mercedes, yes there is a lot of information on the good old GOOGLE. But not all of it is true and sometimes what might work for one person might not work for you. It really comes down what you find works best (trial and error is sometimes the best way).
      I'm glad i could help you 🌼

Is it important to get certified? How exactly do I go about getting certified?

This was so helpful! For someone just starting out and will be doing arrangements out of my home, how do you suggest storing the flowers to keep them cold so they don't die and last as long as possible? The prices on floral coolers are very expensive and I am not there yet in terms of having that kind of money. Any suggestions would be so appreciated :)

Very informative! Thank you for this video! Could you share how you store your flowers? Is it a cold room, or a refrigerator?

I'm so glad it's helpful!!! 🥳Here's another video I did on flower cooler alternatives - there's no real 'one size fits all' solution. The right approach will depend on what kind of flowering you're doing, where you're based + what kinds of ingredients you decide to use. th-cam.com/video/8pd_jybOfQM/w-d-xo.html
