The hardest part is getting the new bearing in straight. Where can I get that special tooling that was made or something similar to keep the knuckle straight?
Appearantly you are not supposed to grease the bearings. They say it causes them to overheat and fail on the Can Am X3's. I was about to buy the tool and grease mine, but was told not to by the guys at shock therapy.
@@MrTrackday101 That would be some weird physics since every other wheel bearing ever requires grease. i mean they aren't sealed and have a grease slit. I grease mine but do whatever you want.
@@brainofjjj I totally agree with you. I normally grease bearings. But, they recommend not doing it as they fail quicker(so they say). Im going to be greasing mine.
I'm not sure what to think here either. You see people very regularly refuting what Shock Therapy has said. It seems to me that there may be some foul play going on with the manufacturers of the x3 wheel bearing grease tools responding to every thread on this subject. There are business tools out there that allow them to join view any conversation related to specific topics.

In the "basic hand tools" to get the job done, you forgot to add the shop press. ;)
Front hub change on xds x3 is different.
That bearing is gonna be a nightmare to remove if you dont heat it to break that green locktite.i will use it only if doesn't fit to tight anymore.
