Great video! I’ve never seen such a destructive 10 minutes of football in a grand final. The last 30 seconds are forever etched in my mind. The looks on the faces of Treloar, Bontempelli and English after Oliver kicks the last one is of pure shock and disbelief.
Probably then and there they admitted defeat. In conjnction with Petracca's menacing look at 1:00, they were never coming back in hindsight. Petracca had the look of 'destroy, kill, no mercy'.. Even a brick wall wouldn't have stopped him. Unreal effort by the clearance threesome plus Jackson- who even roved the ball as if he was playing against the under 9's for the Oliver goal!
Since the drought breaking win....I have watched these multicalls every single day....On the week end just past, I watched the replay in its entirety for the 27th time. I am a Demon member of 35 years and even in the darkest days at Demonland have never turned my back on my club. This still 4 weeks on gets me emotional. Reading comments from people on these videos saying things like "the greatest 39 seconds of Football ever in the history of the game" gives me goosebumps knowing that my team that I love so much was able to rise and play at a level nobody ever saw coming! Truly amazing, and I have gone absolutely nuts and spent roughly $2000 on memorabilia since. Why the hell not I say, it was a long time coming and so bloody worth all the pain and misery over my 44 years on earth as a Demon supporter to finally experience a premiership. It would have been amazing to have been at the game, but it wasn't to be unfortunately. GO DEES!
Petracca (draft pick #2), Oliver (#4), Jackson (#3) and Viney (father-son selection who would have gone in top 5). Never let anyone tell you those high end picks in the draft don’t matter. When the game was in the balance the cream well and truly rose to the top! 🔴🏆🔵

But, after close analysis, it was deemed crucial in the demise of his career the decision to debut him against the Pies on Queens Birthday where he got absolutely pulverized in a team of bottom feeders. Being a No.1 draft pick in a team getting smashed week in week out will no doubt have serious ramifications on your career when you don't have the structural support around you, let alone players that will stand up for you on the battle field. I guess I am saying I feel sorry for Watts and the path his career went down, due to the stupidity of the brains trust at the time. GO DEES!

I'm a Brit who was watching in the morning. Not a fan of a specific team, but arbitrarily picked the Dees because of the history I'd heard about and also the fact the Dogs had a crypto sponsor (those really piss me off). I know this sport can produce some wild game scripts with the way the scoring happens, but this one was just absolutely ridiculous. When you throw in the history around the Dees as well... This final minute of play was my favourite sporting moment of 2021. Any sport.
