What a pretty block. I've only done a blanket or satin stitch on appliqué. Definitely going to try the zigzag stitch.
Great video. I also sew on Bernina's an tend to use my 23 foot, but I am going to try the 20. I have B350 for small stuff and the knee lift makes it easy to left and stitch and lift and stitch. Thanks again.

Are the feed dogs on the machine up or down? Thanks in advance for a reply.
Hello Fernando! The feed dogs are up. We only recommend dropping them for free motion quilting.

Do you ever use the blanket stitch on the machine for applique? I also find the knee lifter on the Bernina invaluable for machine applique.

Will the leaves fray if on a quilt I wash?
It would be a little more helpful if you could do “close-ups” on the stitches
Hi Lori, I am machine appliquéing for a quilt. I am using designs I purchase then download them to a USB stick. What can I do to keep from puckering. It usually only puckers where there are actual embroidery stitches. I am using a heavy tear away stabilizer actually doubled. Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you. When you get your quilt quilted, do you get custom work down so your beautiful appliqué isn’t stitched over? Do you just quilt around the shapes, or do you quilt in the shapes too?

I usually have the quilter go around my appliqués so that they really pop...especially these blocks that I’ve shown.
But if the appliqué is a large piece then I have her quilt something inside of it.
You didnt start from beginning? Do you use iron on interfacing on pieces??

Sorry, can't see the stitching. But, the design is cute.
Thank you for the tutorial, but I found it hard to see the machine stitching due to your camera being too far away. I also found that because you used fabric similar colour to your false nails it was at times difficult to distinguish what was going on.
Please let me know where you get/ name of flower shaped grid under your machine foot as it appears will help material move easier on curves

First, you should tell all the trouble you went to by sewing your petals with two thickness of fabric and turning them inside our. Then you sew around with a straight stitch. Why:??? go to all that work , when you can iron heat and bond on the wrong side of your material so it won't fray, then applique on with an attractive blanket st. or zig-zag. Just my opinion.
