The song and video are masterfully done! Mr. Scruff did a BRILLIANT job with mixing blues and jazz masterpieces from Moondog, T Bone Walker and Rubberlegs Williams to an effortless dance beat! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Is the animation by Max Fleischer from the early 1930s? The tune was written in the late 1940s or early 1950s by the blind street musician Moondog. I dug both when I was young, but I never thought that these two geniuses would meet in the 21st century. Brilliant !
Classic Tune. I was just watching an episode of Top Gear. They did a piece about remote controlled cars. They played about 20 seconds of this song. I'd heard it before but didn't know who performed it. I looked up the same Top Gear article here on TH-cam. The question was asked and answered in the comments section. TH-cam is the best for answering things like this.
I remember hearing this on a program on the BBC once, and i have been looking for it for a long time. The video that accompanies it is also rather strangley addictive, Five stars.
i can imagen it, it really fit for a cafe. no matter how sad or mad you are thiw twisted jazz/ram song just make you happy. it is sou ekstream, it fit for everything. nice vid ;P
I always loved this rhythm but could never find the name or artist, but thanks to Pineapple Express & alot of luck I was able to track down the original artist & then I happen across this unbelievable remix...

That bassline deserves an award alone and the drums of course.
The video fits so well.

Cool. This cartoon world is quite psychedelic!
There's a sort of "Reefer Madness" quality to this video. I wouldn't have heard of this song if it wasn't used in a car commercial years ago.
yep same here. lincoln navi commercial.
That's kind of how I found it...it was on "Tune in Chill out"...a 2002 album of house and chill anthems used in TV commercials
Funny thing, I discovered this tune by the same ad, JUST TODAY. The same ad is being reposted and keeps introducing people here, to this day.
Maybe the best song ever
Heard this song when i was 14 and it blew my mind whilst i was blowing my lungs, lovely
love the way the bass line changes at 3.18...
No better tribute to the mad genius that was Moondog aka Lou Hardin could possibly exist.

Klassic. I think the first time I heard this was on a car commerical, little did I know it would become a house klassic.
