@@человелик I'm just not as familiar with it. in America, actual 80s synthwave was confined largely to soundtracks and never developed into a serious pop genre, making modern Western style synthwave kind of a thought experiment - what if the work of artists like Jan Hammer and John Carpenter had directed the future course of music? But it seems like in Russia there's a much stronger and continuous lineage in play - which is really cool and interesting.

I was born in Soviet Union. I heared this sounds in childhood on the radio and vinyl disks. Without modern pseudo-retro samples. In early 2000`s russian techno musicants PPK takes samples from Soviet space melodies and producted it to club-traks. It was funny, but none can dreaming about whole style of music like that.
You might also try the soundtracks from the movies Blade Runner, Dune, The Forbidden Planet, etc. So many great synth artists over the years; glad channels like this provide a space for the Russian Synth artists and music to reach a larger audience. Hopefully the conflict between Russia and Ukraine ends soon; as people on both sides are having their lives destroyed. Of course the same can be said about what is going on between Israel and Palestine, regardless which side you are on.

Not exactly, during the 90s and early 2000s Russia's Roscosmos was preety much the only agency still fully capable of year-long operations. For a time even American astronauts "hitched a ride" on Russian Soyuz rockets.
Both the NatSocs and Communists had plans for space exploration. The Americans only went to space to compete against the Communists. If the NatSocs had won the war it would've been the same thing.

I was never born in USSR, but I long for a past I never experience, the Soviet always fascinated me even as a child, I cannot describe it, its as if I lived there in my past life, their music, their movies touch me, when I visited Russia, it was such nostalgia it was such a touching moment, it felt like I had come home, to a place I never been in.

Although I don't have a clear memory of CCCP, but believe it or not I grew up watching the cartoon "Ну, погоди!", along with other soviet union literatures. This music brings me back to the future of my childhood. BTW, the arkwork of this album is almost identical to which was on the cover of one of the homework booklets back in my primary school time.

@@человелик I'm just not as familiar with it. in America, actual 80s synthwave was confined largely to soundtracks and never developed into a serious pop genre, making modern Western style synthwave kind of a thought experiment - what if the work of artists like Jan Hammer and John Carpenter had directed the future course of music? But it seems like in Russia there's a much stronger and continuous lineage in play - which is really cool and interesting.

I was born in Soviet Union. I heared this sounds in childhood on the radio and vinyl disks. Without modern pseudo-retro samples. In early 2000`s russian techno musicants PPK takes samples from Soviet space melodies and producted it to club-traks. It was funny, but none can dreaming about whole style of music like that.

You might also try the soundtracks from the movies Blade Runner, Dune, The Forbidden Planet, etc. So many great synth artists over the years; glad channels like this provide a space for the Russian Synth artists and music to reach a larger audience. Hopefully the conflict between Russia and Ukraine ends soon; as people on both sides are having their lives destroyed. Of course the same can be said about what is going on between Israel and Palestine, regardless which side you are on.

Товарищ, США еще задолго до российской пролетарской революции были намного богаче России, а уж как наша страна была разорена в результате 1ой мировой, гражданской и 2-ой мировой войн, уму непостижимо. Таких потрясений штаты за тот же промежуток времени даже близко не испытывали, последний раз война на их территории была в середине 19 века, гражданская.
Поэтому то, что СССР первым запустил спутник и человека в космос спустя 15 лет после Великой Отечественной - настоящее чудо. А в том, что американцы обогнали, нет ничего удивительного. Тот же ВВП штатов был по-моему примерно вдвое больше.
Мне лично бросается в глаза, как в ссср освещался полет в космос - типа как прорыв человечества, что мы первыми запустили несмотря на тяжелые потери в войне. И как американцами освящался полет на Луну - МЫ ОПЕРЕДИЛИ СССР, МЫ ЛУЧШЕ, а они лохи!! Они может ещё у ребёнка что-нибудь отнимут, а потом этим сильно гордятся? Нет, ну серьёзно, СССР вообще не должен был учавствовать ни в какой космической гонке, он должен был соревноваться по достижениям с другими странами Европы, с Британией, например, но никак не США.

About people engaged in creative work. Indeed USSR was not so wealthy country to give their citizens such future just now. There was a lot of arduous work and political/economic problems. But it was a great attempt to achieve new type of free society. Like first republics as a result of the Enlightenment. And my ancestors had seen it like a thing that is worthy to work on.
