- FIREWOOD | Splitting beech (yes I said BEECH) & red oak/hickory. In today's firewood video I am at my "Bay #2" firewood storage area using the @EastonmadeWoodSplittersUltra wood splitter to split ready to burn firewood rounds. I also split semi-seasoned hickory & red oak firewood rounds.
lots beech here in Pa nice wood split
I love beech it’s all over the place around here.
It’s around here too but for some reason I don’t get much of it.
Hi Joe great looking wood👍👍👍🇨🇦
NICE WOOD SEND IT OVER HERE,
i dont want no more ash either!..i heat exclusively with wood..the ash is mostly all rotten now and if its just starting to rot it wont dry and it stays water logged..i agree that oak with the little bit of rot around the outside is fine, but if that is left outside and rain gets on it that rotten part will stay water logged after you bring it in to burn it..then it burns like junk
Have you thought about combining your two channels? I think focusing all your efforts on one would be your best bet.
No because then all the old videos would die, I need to keep both active
Where does beech grow? Tennessee? I’ve never worked with that kind of wood but I know it’s used in gunstocks.
Eastern woodlands, it's awesome firewood, is a top 4 rated btu firewood
@@Tonnsfabrication Really? I live in California. We don't have beech here. By Eastern Woodlands do you mean upstate New York, New Hampshire, Maine?
@@michaellee9883 Eastern woodlands is east of the Mississippi, I'd say it grows up into parts of southern Canada as I've seen them guys cutting it. I'm in South Eastern Ohio and it's a very dominant species here.
We have a lot of beech in east Kentucky
@@michaellee9883I'm in SC, it's almost non existent here, but I live in a Carolina bay, which is probably not what you are thinking, in the peedee area of SC, and I have a large Grove of huge beech trees. Typically they start growing on the very north side of NC.
keep working hard
NIce load wood
Hi joe
Joe have you seen Chris in the Wood yard videos on stacking vs non stacking? It’s got me wondering if I need to continue stacking my firewood. Wonder what your thoughts are. Thanks.
Of course I have, he said he started his channel after watching me, just like Back 40, Ohio Wood Burner and Firewood at the Furnace
🎉
Where's the Osage Orange
Hi ya Joe
