  • This video got a little longer than planned BUT we covered several different topics all in one video.
    1) Free cherry logs curtesy of our CaMex log loader dump trailer. We used the PID-19 loader to stack logs on the live deck of our used 18-24 gas.
    2) Fresh off the delivery truck, a used 18-24 wood processor from Brute Force. This unit is a 2020 model year with under 500hours on it. The 18-24 has a gas 38hp Kohler v-twin EFI engine, standard 3 strand live deck, 14ft straight conveyor with side to side pivot, last log holder, hydraulic wedge, and a torsion axle for highway towing. Easy access into the splitter chamber for quick re-splits or piece management.
    3) We talk about chain adjustment and end up changing out a standard Oregon chain to a Carbide tipped saw chain. 9/16" or 14mm bar bolts with a 7/16" or 11mm tensioner bolt
    4) Use our "Log Lift" firewood bags to hold the split Cherry smoker wood for our customer.

2 things you run that like that's what you do for a living. Good job. I do think 53 is a good asking price. I just don't have a property to put it on.

I’m more than a desk jockey taking customer orders. I genuinely operate the equipment and use it in my own firewood production. I know what the capabilities are and what they won’t do. I shoot straight, tell it like it is because I don’t want to over sell something that won’t work for a customer’s specific needs. Happy customers are the best marketing I have!

Top Secret, shhhh don't tell anyone but I'm building an 18-24 diesel with a 6-strand live deck, 27ft in-feed to handle for length log truck logs AND a Log Loader built in!!!! Yep, 24ft reach and 3,000# lift capacity. Stay tuned for that in February. The frame is built now. I'll have to fly to Brute Force to meet the mad scientist that built "Log-Zilla"

What is that blue goblin hooked to the trailer? What happened to the Cummins?

    • @ShaverSalesINC

LOL, it’s a prototype grapple buck saw. I have to send it back for repairs. Just too busy to take it off and be without a grapple. As far as the Ram 3500, I switched to the dark side and went with a 6.6L gas motor in a Chevy. $2.25 less/gallon and I’m getting similar mileage and the power isn’t bad.

@@ShaverSalesINC yeah that's what I meant by the blue goblin, that scary piece of GM machinery. That's cool, glad you like it. I have a couple of F450 diesels and I've debated going to the 7.3 gas on my next one.

Why isn't anyone ever adding an automatic packaging system like the Posch Pack-f into the process? Stacking is for me the least fùn part of the process.

Our specialty is a quality processor with a good mix of speed and power. I’m just show casing what we bring in from time to time. Our main system is processor to cleaner to stacker conveyor to 1/3 cord bags. I hate handling it and using our system I don’t touch it!

@@ShaverSalesINC Hello, thank you for posting and for responding. I, like you, am not fond of quantizing firewood after it is split. Your bag system appears to work well and does not require any investment, others than the cost of the bags. I was just wondering why no one in the US is offering the Posch Packfix system. Your thoughts would be appreciated. Also, what do your bags cost and are they UV stable? Finally, do you ever get in used firewood conveyors. Thanks! Shalom/gw

@@googleboy7 I did look into the Posch system. The netting isn’t as secure, they recommend indoor setup (which I don’t have) and it’s crazy expensive. I watch one operate this year at the Paul Bunyan show and when the loader moved it the whole thing fell over in the first 50ft and it wasn’t the loaders fault!

@@ShaverSalesINC Ì was at Paul Bunyan but missed it. Oh well, that's a big show! I wondered about stability. You answered that. I think your system is better. I like your new palet trailer. I think you'll find lots of uses. Thanks again and good luck! Shalom/gw
