Well, for me one of simplest interpretations goes like this: The guy is some kind of life teacher/mentor. Woman is looking for the end (omega). But when she finds the beginning (alpha) instead of the end, she is confused. There where should be end, there is beginning. The weird guy knows about infinity, and that everything goes on and on. When he draws infinity symbol, woman still doesn't get that, she is still looking for the end. That's why he walks away in that way - like saying "well, if so, I can't help you." Time goes on again (watch), in a straight, uncontrollable for us way. We can't be taught infinity yet. We still need time to figure it out.

She did right choice not to follow him. I think they failed to explain meaning of infinity in this short. Lets do some analyse. Alpha is the first letter of Greek alphabet and Omega is the last. So them are letters. But symbol "infinity" is mathematical symbol and have nothing to do with letters or Greek alphabet. This symbol was coined in 1955 (not meaning of infinity itself). Also infinity is not a time. And not time travel or control of time. It is number greater of any number possible. As I mentioned "infinity number of years", it only means something will last so long that it is not possible to count. But it does not mean time need to repeat itself again and again for infinity. It's a Machine elf. A entity described by many people who have experienced DMT. It's crazy cause idk if I'm right... but an egg falls from a space ship, and its labeled Omega, which is the symbol of Ohms... in Indian mythos Brahama is is born from a Golden egg in which the sound Om is created.. which is the sound of creation, the sound of brahama. The "Machine elf" opens the Omega pod and let's out this "choas" with tentacles and it takes her into Omega where she has to find her way out, but the path keeps changing. Then it shoots her into this space where the building blocks of the universe are shoen. It seems she was being taught of her own creation and the creation of the universe itself, as well as the fundamentals of realities physics like space and time. No beginning no end. This is the basic function if the Machine Elves and Jesters, fairies, gnomes, and other entities seen in a dmt trip. To show you infinity, to show us creation. What a trip.

I'm not sure that was a planet & not some truly ALIEN planet-sized lifeform. The purple imp seemed some kind of cyborg or biomechanoid. My take us that the Lifeform was intrigued by the passing ship, sent the imp to investigate, & the imp got the crew member to the surface, where she was examined thru surreal testing.
