- Finale de la sélection pour la chanson qui représentera la Suisse à Bakou pour le Concours Eurovision de la Chanson 2012.
Lyss Assia, avec " C'était ma vie" (chanson de Ralph Siegel pour la musique et Jean Paul Cara pour les paroles), était sélectionnée pour cette finale.
Malgré la standing ovation qui a suivi son excellente interprétation, elle n'ira pas à Bakou... le jury en a jugé autrement, ce qui n'empêche rien ... - เพลง

Diese Chance nicht ergriffen zu haben, gilt bis heute wohl als eindeutiger Beweis, wie bekloppt das Televoting entscheiden kann.

Are both Refrain and C'etait Ma Vie about nostalgia in some way? If so, I feel like this song completes a beautiful circle :)
Yeah totally! I think you could also say her 1957 entry is about the nostalgia of being a kid (going to school and parties and all that stuff), and her 1958 entry was all about her love with a boy named Giorgio as well. I think it’s a really beautiful aspect of her music and I’m glad she kept on with it all these years later ❤

Naja, direkt schlecht war es nicht, ich spreche ihr auch nicht ab dass sie gut Französisch spricht aber gerade am Anfang klingt es doch sehr deutsch. Und dazu ist das Lied noch sehr kurz und der Text banal. Hätte international wohl eher für wenig Aufsehen und Begeisterung gesorgt. Den Stars ihr Podium, aber darüber, dass sie dann mit sowas nicht an der großen Endausscheidung teilnehmen, bin ich auch nicht traurig.

Wegen Kürze des Liedes: Damals bei der VE wurden alle Lieder auf 2 min gekürzt, warum auch immer. Offiziell geht das auch 3 min.
