A lot of ppl hate on “wideness” when it comes to things like these. But realistically it’s more platform to land on, all that needs to be done is a way to reduce weight. I skate an 8.75 and it rips
as soon as I seen this vid I went an bought one. I own a north tomahawk complete and thay shit is prob 3 wide idek 😂 life saver deck this 7” I’m also a 6’4 guy to so it’ll help
I’d like to see how this deck handles park riding. Like mini ramp and boxes. I predominantly ride street but do like to occasionally jump on the jump box section and resi at the local indoor

I ride a 6,22 which is the most solid street size in my opinion and I hopped on a north 7,23.5 and that thing was so fun and easy to 50, if you do grinds and not to many whips then get it
oh dude ! i want one so bad ! a 7 inch deck would be the perfect hybrid for me ( scooter skateboard) i have always loved skateboarding but due to my cerebral palsy, i have poor balance, but i can use a scooter because i have something to hold on to. i used to skateboard crouched and id push with my hands, ( similar to how amputees skateboard ) but if i had the scooter, id be able to stand up like everyone else plus it feels kinda like skateboarding !
This thing aint gonna last anything. North horizon 6 and 6,2 had a problem with durability and this one will 100% as well. Snap fast as hell. The horizon neck is too weak and small for these dimensions. This shit will banana sooooooo easy. Not even mentioning it eventually bending on the sides from doing 50/50s.
north is a small Canadian company that was recently founded, they do really good considering there isnt a local brand around here. they still have to work out alot of kinks so just give em time
@@ToxicFlame29 Yeah ik. I didnt wanted to diss the whole company. I just think that they shoud just put more time making their decks last more than relasing the same model every 2 months but in a different color. In my opinion, the Atlas deck was the rigjh move. Strong and felt smooth. Also had a lot of different dimensions.
Depends on riding style too, most riders at my local had issue with head tube snaps on the V1 lucid decks and yet despite that my one has gone for 2 years now which is longer by FAR than any other deck ive owned, cant talk for north though.
@@mgproryh thats true, but the fact that i personally destroyed two of these decks in a matter of 7 months, and personally know 6 people with different riding styles and trick selection have had same issues as me
Why not go 8. 8 is small for the skateboarders. BMX bikes run 25lbs. If you can’t handle a little weight than you need to get stronger. While we’re at it why are scooters so short. Is there really any reason for decks to be shorter than a sb?
@@chancecsmith Legit questions. I have a Crisp adult scooter that uses the 8" wheels that are also found on the Razor A5. The Crisp is solid enough for skatepark carving (an A5 will break dropping off a curb under a full adult's weight, I'm 195lbs.). The Crisp is large and long compared to a Pro Scooter. Lots of scraping going over edges/downslopes/humps/coping. Slow steering and not very responsive. So yeah, there's a limit to how long you want a Pro Scooter to be. I'm 5'11" and my Pro Scooter has a 22.5" long deck, I'm thinking longer would feel better but might hinder me as I'm right on the edge of comfortably navigating skateparks.

If you guys enjoyed the video, make sure to leave a thumbs up! 🛴
I remember when the Stan Smirnoff reventon came out that was considered crazy and way wider than you’d ever need

7” wide deck. 🤤
God i love this , i remember when anything above 4.5 was too bulky 🤣
right??? the first time I bought mad gear's first MFX deck I couldn't believe how people rode that thing so effortlessly.

They made a 7 wide just for Aztek to pass them in a little bit 😂
The aztek 7 wide boutta be fire
Then aztek makes an 8, imagine
True😂
No Aztek had a 7 wide before north and they are making a 7 wide I think It is bigger than 7
but north is more durable. way more solid

Hell yeah i might build a scooter now! Wish my dirt scoot was this wide
Damn that Travis joke 😬

My decks 4.8 wide. I hopped on my homies street setup and it was heaps easier to grind. It was only a 5.25 and it felt so nice
