Its actually an old Slavic lullaby that Dead by Daylight (which I need to play now apparently), Bloodborne, and quite a few other horror games sampled from. @JunkyardCactus stated "The lyrics are about how if you sleep on the edge of the bed, a wolf will come, bite your side and drag you to the forest." I honestly just imagine public campsites or adventurer checkpoints keeping a couple of relatively tame ones around to cut costs on providing firewood. Think about it: people would get free fire without going through the hassle of getting wood together and making a spark, while the campbriar gets to live in a relatively safe campsite and eat leftovers.

I rolled my own d&d-mon Rolled: mew/tarrasque The Sylvan Titan Once there was a very proud archfey who ruled over a large portion of the Feywild. One day a large destructive monster of deific power entered the realm of faeries to wreak havoc. The archfey saw this as a challenge and went along with hundreds of powerful(though not quite archfey level) fey to slay this monster. The archfey was one of the few survivors, but he found the losses to be worth it. He dined on the aberration's flesh in victory. He found the creatures flesh very valuable as it gave him increased strength. Little did he realize that this would be the end of his rule over the feywild. The archfey found himself rapidly growing in size and he found that he had grown horns and a tail. Eventually he became the Sylvan Titan, a gargantuan monster of power so immense that his very appearance blinds those that are faint of heart. Then again, if his visage didn't blind you, then his gaze probably will. His beastly appearance along with his usually quadripedal movement would have many fey mistake him for some sort of enchanted animal if it weren't for his aura of power as well as his gargantuan size. One very unique thing about this titan is his tail. Every attack made with it sends a wave of wild magic at the players, causing stones to fly at their heads, vines to grow into shambling mounds with the players trapped inside of them, animals to start raining from the sky, along with many other wild and unpredictable events. This giant fairy is something that one should NEVER underestimate. PLEASE LIKE SO OUR SPECTATOR CAN SEE MY CREATION!
Not really a lesbian, just lonely and sad. The handmaiden was probably her only true friend that brought warmth to her life and doing so made her a person not a doll. They were close virtually like sisters.

I LOVE the Dreading Bell in all aspects. It feels like a thing straight from The Witcher where the only real way to defeat it is by lifting the curse and letting the spirit grieve. Really beats out the usual cursed objects/ghost monsters in 5e where you just bonk them till they go away. And that story just... *chief's kiss* beautiful.
I'd want it for a pet. Same with the investors. They're all awesome I so hope there is an app to mix Pokemon and d & d monsters.....future dm and it would be awesome to have something new for them to face.
How would that work tho? Like, I can't imagine a trainer who goes in the wild catching familiars to be a barbarian or cleric. Aren't they all just a mix of ranger w/ druid or in some cases rogue?
I would roll a famous trainer (MC, Rival, Villain, Leader, E4 or Champion) and draw their signature pokémon as the motif for their equipment. The equipment being rolled for the class. So let's say, she got Misty. Her signature pokémon is Staryu. So if she rolled a Cleric the Staryu could be her mace or holy symbol with an armor full of water related things or stars. Of if she rolled a Rogue she could have like Starmie throwing stars or star-knife, with a more pirate-y motif or something.
Okay, I figure I should say this here: one of the absolute COOLEST things about these creature designs is that when they’re done, you give them a unique cry or sound to go along with them. I love it when fantasy creatures, such as Pokemon, are given realistic cries like that, because it really helps you understand what it would be like to encounter them in real life. Amazing work!
When I saw the first one I just thought: OH GOD IT'S JESS'S FINAL FORM and the fourth one I just thought of the STONKS meme meets pan's labyrinth. Also great voices for the monsters the melody for dreading bell is kinda comforting which makes it even scarier! Great art work as ever Jess always a treat to see, keep safe!

Wow, i love how this series has progressed! the addition of stories featuring the monsters adds so much life to them, and it sets my dm senses tingling with all the cool adventures these monsters could feature in. Also, it leaves more open to interpretation, rather than just listing the abilities of the creature, kinda like a well written piece of horror. Love it!

Always so creative, this is amazing! As far as ideas for fusions: Go to the superpower wiki and hit random page a few times, then combines the powers you got and make a superhero/villain! It should be fairly different and quite a challenge.
I love the design and backstory of the Dreading Belle. I love that besides her dress, you can only see her feet as way to link her to ever having lived a life. She has no face which could symbolize her feeling like she truly had no identity of her own
I would honestly pay to watch a movie about the last one (the ghost with the bell who's name I forget) or to play a horror game about them with a stragic story.
My party that DM tame the campbrair and named it cydaquil. All without ever seeing this video. So congrats on having monsters where Pokemons you have fused are still able to be seen.

Let person spread tales of the Investors community, possibly attracting more individuals. 4. 9:34 I was thinking something more along the lines of the Dancer of the Boreal Valley from DS3. An animated suit of female armor (like bikini armor combine with belly dancer clothing, or a combat dress ala any Saberface from the Fate franchise, like Artoria or Nero) adorned with a veiled headdress and wispy vestments to bewitch and beguile, as the lithe blade dancer construct flits to and fro across the battlefield in a blur of motion, as beautiful and elegant as it is vicious and deadly.
I mean neither Jynx nor Animated armour are sexualized in any way so I don't know where you got that idea from. Personally I think a dress animated by a ghost who's heart is frozen is a much better fit
@@mme.veronica735 Jinx looks like an opera singer and it's design look like it has a metal bra with a flowing "dress" attached, similar in design to a specific kind of nightwear/lingerie whose name alludes me. Singer + Animate Armor + flowing = Dancer of the Boreal Valley Also, I said beautiful and elegant, not necessarily sexy. I meant for this bladedancer construct to mesmerize and beguile with its flowing movements. Again, search up any boss fight with the Dancer of the Boreal Valley to get a better understanding of the intended concept. Honestly, I just couldn't reconcile combining the design of Jynx (I'm not big on Polemon, so I don't know Jynx's lore) with a magically animated suit of armor, and get haunted dress. It just felt too out of place, since it doesn't feel like it's related to either Jynx or the Animated Armor, and borrows very few if any elements from them.

There's nothing martial about a haunted dress, and the whole point of this video series has been to combine two separate entities, one from Pokemon and one from D&D, into a single concept that incorporates elements of both. And before you point out that it's a haunted dress, I would like to draw attention to the key word *haunted.* Animate Armor is animated is a construct created by a wizard or artificer using magical means as a form of guardian or sentinel, not a maligned spirit possessing it to gain a physical body for potentially malicious purposes. This monster concept, and only this concept out of all those created this far, seems to draw entirely from Jynx as a solitary source, and thereby fails at the very premise it had set out to fulfill. I merely offered up a concept I felt was more in line with the stated purpose of the video.

For the dreading bell it's a bell and a dress (and object that is worn) animated by a ghost (some magical force). They don't have to be so exact. Look at his previous creation Enigmirror, it's barely anything like Unknown

How is it that each monster is entertaining in a different way?! The sentinel and drangeon are hilarious, the campbriar is shocking, the investor is creepy, and the Dreading Bell is sad. They are perfect for any type of group or campaign!

So I came up with my own terrifying monstrosity, Jess: when Gary Gygax made the beholder, he took the concept and body part of Vision, and stuck enough of it together with magic that it became a terrifying monster. My turn: Hands. Walking into the big city for some sweet sweet expensive loot to spend their treasures on, the party was impressed that not many rats scurried underfoot or slunk into alleyways, and very few shadowy figures lurked in the dark corners. They must have good exterminators and justice department!... The rogue was not so impressed. Crime abhorrs a vacuum, especially in the big city, and he could tell what organized crime there was here was afraid of the streets... and if the mob was afraid, you should be too... As if on queue, he felt his coin pouch get tugged on and lighten, a cutpurse! As he dashed in the direction of the thieving arm, his dagger at the ready, He felt strong arms wrap around his mouth and neck, cutting off his scream and slamming his head against the pavement. "How were so many thugs hiding?" Was his last thought as he faded off into unconsciousness... Three and a half city blocks later, the cleric noticed their resident brooder was missing from behind them, and alerted the paladin. The party pulled to a stop in the crowded street, and with the gnone wizard on his shoulders, the paladin began to retrace their steps to where they'd last seen theor missing rogue... Awakening with a start, the Rogue found himself being carried on his back down a dark tunnel, a quiet scrabbling noise beneath him, like many grabbing fingers. Attemting to move, he felt dozens of hands hold him still as the scrabbling stopped, and a brick in hand knocked him out once more. As the party found where the Rogue had undoubtedly been taken, the local bum surprisingly helpful, and scared, they noticed how smooth the ground around the sewer grate had been worn. With no other choices, the nearest inn five blocks away, and the sun setting, the paladin heaved the grate out of the sewer entrance, noting that while heavy, it had not been attached, and no stink came from this tunnel, as the party trecked into the dark after their lost member. Almost an hour later, and approximately directly under the city center, the paladin stood upright as they entered a larger tunnel, apparently leading to a chamber ahead, dim moonlight glowing from the crack under the door, as what they had thought was the sound of water flowing was now heard to be the distinct scrabbling noise of thousands upon thousands of hands from within the chamber beyond. Charging in ready to fight for their lives, the party beheld a sea of writhing, interlocking arms, all ending at the mid-forearm, holding glass shards and bent cutlery and rusty nails and gleaming daggers, all manner of salvaged sharp object arrayed against them by thousands of hands, some of which palm-out, with beady little clusters of black eyes staring the party down, and some hands rubbing together excitedly, ready for this feast, the Rogue's shortsword spotted in the arsenal, the torn tatters of his cloak slowly being dissolved by a sticky, slimy, oozing core of wet flesh, which grumbled hungrily as the miriad arms of The Snatcher prepared to incapacitate and devour its next precious bauble of a meal... The Snatcher is a monstrosity that manifests at rest as a large pile of dozens to hundreds of humanoid hands, each one ending at the mid-forearm, surrounding a gooey, gray, sticky core. When active, the hands interlock into whatever shapes are necessary for their task. Large pillars of interlocking hands acting as muscles in an arm ending with fist-like ball, daisy-chains of hands holding the base of other hands reach very, very far, acting as long tentacular structures, hands can line its underside to crawl rapidly over nearly any surface, eyes sprout from the palms of a few, and groups of clawed hands tear away at prey, killing them messily but efficiently, if no sharp utensils are in its possession. A Snatcher that gets its many hands on a cutlery box or a silverware drawer can be quite lethal in close quarters. An urban ambush predator, The Snatcher will lure humanoid prey to dark alleyways with glittering coins or enchanted weapons placed on the edge of the shadows, where it grabs the curious humanoid by the head, covering their mouth, eyes, and ears, and pulling them through a nearby window, doorway, hall, drain cover, trapdoor, Sewer grate, or other opening where they are pulled and carried back to its den, along with the bait. It then uses clawed hands or sharp utensils to kill and slice up its prey, dropping the meat chunks into its gooey core, which then spits out more hands for the pile. A city with a snatcher infestation will be characterized by streets surprisingly clear of rats, stray dogs, or homeless people, almost all of which snatched up long ago, and while few thieves hide in the alleys, party members will find coin pouches cut off and pockets pilfered if they rest very long on a city street. A very lethal threat to any greedy party rogue, the Snatcher will happily devour any adventurer foolish enough to walk over to that perfectly good sword someone just left there...

I cannot believe, that the quality of these monster fusions is getting better and better, since they already started out so great. I love these monsters but Jess, I can never show this to one of my GMs. In one game I am playing an arcanist (hybrid of sorcerer and wizard) a sweet kind hearted magical girl with....bouncy red hair. Soooo yeah never letting him see that Dreading Bell. NOPE NOPE NOPE
Okay so your work is always incredible, _but my goodness the Investors are a particular highlight._ You converted all that different anatomy into fungus so perfectly I can practically feel the textures. And then the story on top of it all. Absolute favorite.

Honestly, your designs never cease to amaze, and about the Genre's, Swap Pokemon with Monster Hunter or something, I think that'd be a pretty interesting way to get some more... bestial creatures to work with!

The way you narrate the fusions from "ok so dis is the plan hahahahahaha" to "omg i'm facing this creature right now fuck-" and it's one of the reasons why this series is my favorite
I'm not artistically inclined but your art is a real inspiration, of course I give up on drawing about two minutes later, but the fact that I try it every time I see one of your drawing videos is proof enough of how fantastic they are. Maybe one day I'll actually learn how to draw, until then, keep on doing the amazing work that you're doing.
As far as suggestions go...I only have silly ideas, but this isn't exactly the most serious series, so here we go. Lovecraftian monsters fused with either Pokémon or D&D monsters; D&D monsters with HeroAca quirks added; classic folklore/fantasy creatures combined with weird D&D-original monsters; or Crystal Gems (or Homeworld Gems) combined with D&D monsters.
Every time I see your work, I think about how phenomenal it is. Please keep doing what you do. It's a blessing that you're on this public domain and it makes my day a little better seeing your work. You're awesome. 100%

I LOVE the Dreading Bell in all aspects. It feels like a thing straight from The Witcher where the only real way to defeat it is by lifting the curse and letting the spirit grieve. Really beats out the usual cursed objects/ghost monsters in 5e where you just bonk them till they go away.
And that story just... *chief's kiss* beautiful.

How would that work tho? Like, I can't imagine a trainer who goes in the wild catching familiars to be a barbarian or cleric. Aren't they all just a mix of ranger w/ druid or in some cases rogue?
I would roll a famous trainer (MC, Rival, Villain, Leader, E4 or Champion) and draw their signature pokémon as the motif for their equipment. The equipment being rolled for the class.
So let's say, she got Misty. Her signature pokémon is Staryu. So if she rolled a Cleric the Staryu could be her mace or holy symbol with an armor full of water related things or stars. Of if she rolled a Rogue she could have like Starmie throwing stars or star-knife, with a more pirate-y motif or something.

Okay, I figure I should say this here: one of the absolute COOLEST things about these creature designs is that when they’re done, you give them a unique cry or sound to go along with them. I love it when fantasy creatures, such as Pokemon, are given realistic cries like that, because it really helps you understand what it would be like to encounter them in real life. Amazing work!
When I saw the first one I just thought: OH GOD IT'S JESS'S FINAL FORM and the fourth one I just thought of the STONKS meme meets pan's labyrinth. Also great voices for the monsters the melody for dreading bell is kinda comforting which makes it even scarier! Great art work as ever Jess always a treat to see, keep safe!

Wow, i love how this series has progressed! the addition of stories featuring the monsters adds so much life to them, and it sets my dm senses tingling with all the cool adventures these monsters could feature in. Also, it leaves more open to interpretation, rather than just listing the abilities of the creature, kinda like a well written piece of horror. Love it!

Go to the superpower wiki and hit random page a few times, then combines the powers you got and make a superhero/villain! It should be fairly different and quite a challenge.
I love the design and backstory of the Dreading Belle. I love that besides her dress, you can only see her feet as way to link her to ever having lived a life. She has no face which could symbolize her feeling like she truly had no identity of her own
I would honestly pay to watch a movie about the last one (the ghost with the bell who's name I forget) or to play a horror game about them with a stragic story.
My party that DM tame the campbrair and named it cydaquil. All without ever seeing this video. So congrats on having monsters where Pokemons you have fused are still able to be seen.

I was thinking something more along the lines of the Dancer of the Boreal Valley from DS3. An animated suit of female armor (like bikini armor combine with belly dancer clothing, or a combat dress ala any Saberface from the Fate franchise, like Artoria or Nero) adorned with a veiled headdress and wispy vestments to bewitch and beguile, as the lithe blade dancer construct flits to and fro across the battlefield in a blur of motion, as beautiful and elegant as it is vicious and deadly.
I mean neither Jynx nor Animated armour are sexualized in any way so I don't know where you got that idea from. Personally I think a dress animated by a ghost who's heart is frozen is a much better fit

Jinx looks like an opera singer and it's design look like it has a metal bra with a flowing "dress" attached, similar in design to a specific kind of nightwear/lingerie whose name alludes me. Singer + Animate Armor + flowing = Dancer of the Boreal Valley
Also, I said beautiful and elegant, not necessarily sexy. I meant for this bladedancer construct to mesmerize and beguile with its flowing movements. Again, search up any boss fight with the Dancer of the Boreal Valley to get a better understanding of the intended concept.
Honestly, I just couldn't reconcile combining the design of Jynx (I'm not big on Polemon, so I don't know Jynx's lore) with a magically animated suit of armor, and get haunted dress. It just felt too out of place, since it doesn't feel like it's related to either Jynx or the Animated Armor, and borrows very few if any elements from them.
It's an animated dress by a sorrowful spirit of ice most likely bound to that bell so it can become a very dangerous plot based monster

And that's great, but riddle me this; where is any influence or elements from the Animated Armor? There's nothing martial about a haunted dress, and the whole point of this video series has been to combine two separate entities, one from Pokemon and one from D&D, into a single concept that incorporates elements of both. And before you point out that it's a haunted dress, I would like to draw attention to the key word *haunted.* Animate Armor is animated is a construct created by a wizard or artificer using magical means as a form of guardian or sentinel, not a maligned spirit possessing it to gain a physical body for potentially malicious purposes. This monster concept, and only this concept out of all those created this far, seems to draw entirely from Jynx as a solitary source, and thereby fails at the very premise it had set out to fulfill. I merely offered up a concept I felt was more in line with the stated purpose of the video.

For the dreading bell it's a bell and a dress (and object that is worn) animated by a ghost (some magical force). They don't have to be so exact. So I came up with my own terrifying monstrosity, Jess: when Gary Gygax made the beholder, he took the concept and body part of Vision, and stuck enough of it together with magic that it became a terrifying monster.
My turn: Hands.
Walking into the big city for some sweet sweet expensive loot to spend their treasures on, the party was impressed that not many rats scurried underfoot or slunk into alleyways, and very few shadowy figures lurked in the dark corners. They must have good exterminators and justice department!... The rogue was not so impressed. Crime abhorrs a vacuum, especially in the big city, and he could tell what organized crime there was here was afraid of the streets... and if the mob was afraid, you should be too... As if on queue, he felt his coin pouch get tugged on and lighten, a cutpurse! As he dashed in the direction of the thieving arm, his dagger at the ready, He felt strong arms wrap around his mouth and neck, cutting off his scream and slamming his head against the pavement. "How were so many thugs hiding?" Was his last thought as he faded off into unconsciousness...
Three and a half city blocks later, the cleric noticed their resident brooder was missing from behind them, and alerted the paladin. The party pulled to a stop in the crowded street, and with the gnone wizard on his shoulders, the paladin began to retrace their steps to where they'd last seen theor missing rogue...
Awakening with a start, the Rogue found himself being carried on his back down a dark tunnel, a quiet scrabbling noise beneath him, like many grabbing fingers. Attemting to move, he felt dozens of hands hold him still as the scrabbling stopped, and a brick in hand knocked him out once more.
As the party found where the Rogue had undoubtedly been taken, the local bum surprisingly helpful, and scared, they noticed how smooth the ground around the sewer grate had been worn. With no other choices, the nearest inn five blocks away, and the sun setting, the paladin heaved the grate out of the sewer entrance, noting that while heavy, it had not been attached, and no stink came from this tunnel, as the party trecked into the dark after their lost member.
Almost an hour later, and approximately directly under the city center, the paladin stood upright as they entered a larger tunnel, apparently leading to a chamber ahead, dim moonlight glowing from the crack under the door, as what they had thought was the sound of water flowing was now heard to be the distinct scrabbling noise of thousands upon thousands of hands from within the chamber beyond.
Charging in ready to fight for their lives, the party beheld a sea of writhing, interlocking arms, all ending at the mid-forearm, holding glass shards and bent cutlery and rusty nails and gleaming daggers, all manner of salvaged sharp object arrayed against them by thousands of hands, some of which palm-out, with beady little clusters of black eyes staring the party down, and some hands rubbing together excitedly, ready for this feast, the Rogue's shortsword spotted in the arsenal, the torn tatters of his cloak slowly being dissolved by a sticky, slimy, oozing core of wet flesh, which grumbled hungrily as the miriad arms of The Snatcher prepared to incapacitate and devour its next precious bauble of a meal...
The Snatcher is a monstrosity that manifests at rest as a large pile of dozens to hundreds of humanoid hands, each one ending at the mid-forearm, surrounding a gooey, gray, sticky core. When active, the hands interlock into whatever shapes are necessary for their task. Large pillars of interlocking hands acting as muscles in an arm ending with fist-like ball, daisy-chains of hands holding the base of other hands reach very, very far, acting as long tentacular structures, hands can line its underside to crawl rapidly over nearly any surface, eyes sprout from the palms of a few, and groups of clawed hands tear away at prey, killing them messily but efficiently, if no sharp utensils are in its possession. A Snatcher that gets its many hands on a cutlery box or a silverware drawer can be quite lethal in close quarters.
An urban ambush predator, The Snatcher will lure humanoid prey to dark alleyways with glittering coins or enchanted weapons placed on the edge of the shadows, where it grabs the curious humanoid by the head, covering their mouth, eyes, and ears, and pulling them through a nearby window, doorway, hall, drain cover, trapdoor, Sewer grate, or other opening where they are pulled and carried back to its den, along with the bait. It then uses clawed hands or sharp utensils to kill and slice up its prey, dropping the meat chunks into its gooey core, which then spits out more hands for the pile.
A city with a snatcher infestation will be characterized by streets surprisingly clear of rats, stray dogs, or homeless people, almost all of which snatched up long ago, and while few thieves hide in the alleys, party members will find coin pouches cut off and pockets pilfered if they rest very long on a city street.
A very lethal threat to any greedy party rogue, the Snatcher will happily devour any adventurer foolish enough to walk over to that perfectly good sword someone just left there...
The drangeon would mix better with chandelure if it had been a lighthouse i think

The way you narrate the fusions from "ok so dis is the plan hahahahahaha" to "omg i'm facing this creature right now fuck-" and it's one of the reasons why this series is my favorite
I'm not artistically inclined but your art is a real inspiration, of course I give up on drawing about two minutes later, but the fact that I try it every time I see one of your drawing videos is proof enough of how fantastic they are. Maybe one day I'll actually learn how to draw, until then, keep on doing the amazing work that you're doing.
As far as suggestions go...I only have silly ideas, but this isn't exactly the most serious series, so here we go. Lovecraftian monsters fused with either Pokémon or D&D monsters; D&D monsters with HeroAca quirks added; classic folklore/fantasy creatures combined with weird D&D-original monsters; or Crystal Gems (or Homeworld Gems) combined with D&D monsters.
Every time I see your work, I think about how phenomenal it is. Please keep doing what you do. It's a blessing that you're on this public domain and it makes my day a little better seeing your work.
