I’m so happy to find your video! I also had explant surgery about 2 1/2 years ago. I recently decided to do the fat transfer. I’m not expecting a large increase in size. I’m just hoping to get back some volume in the size that I have. This makes me feel better about going ahead with it. I have felt the same way emotionally too. Wish I just loved what I had years ago before getting implants at all.

Thank you so much for this! My plastic surgeon has recommended fat transfer to finish up my breast reconstruction, and I am nervous about going forward with additional procedures. I’m trying to educate myself, and this has been helpful.

    One more tidbit.
We never graft fat in the old implant pocket.
Doing so would lead to 100% fat in necrosis and serious complications.

Been there myself, still learning to accept myself. One and half years later still haven’t allowed my husband to see ir feel them. I did not have enough fat to transfer and the little that was taken from thighs did not stay for long. Still I am grateful I did not get cancer from ruptured implants. They had been ruptured for 7yrs.

Hi Erica, I’m totally binge watching all of your videos after finding you tonight :). I am 34 and have had my implants for 15 years and you are so right about self acceptance . It’s still something I am working on, which is why it’s mentally difficult for me to think about explant. Self acceptance that we know we should have, but there is little guidance on actually how to accept ourselves. Thank you for posting so many updates. Hope you do another one soon.

I had breast cancer and had a bilateral mastectomy; I have implants but did not get them because I did not feel feminine ; it was 5 years before I decided to get a reconstruction; its been 12 years since I got the implants.I've have had no issues; I decided to get a reconstruction because I felt I was ready for a change and wanted to do something for myself; I have not regretted it for a minute; Everyone should do what they feel they should; I don't they should be shamed about getting implants; sometimes its not about self acceptance.

I bruised easily so I’m definitely concern about the bruising especially around the arms area where it’s visible. I understand everyone’s result is different. I think you brought up some good points and would consider fat transfer over surgery.

The number of plastic surgeons who have mastered Lipo and fat transfer is in reality very small.
Outcomes are in reality very reliable and consistent.
What is in reality lacking is patients ability to properly vet providers.
In the end there are only two variables that matter. Patient candidacy and skill of the provider.
Recognize that breast fat transfer is always two procedures done at the same time.
Someone can be an excellent candidate for Liposuction and not be a good candidate for breast fat transfer or vice versa.
The most problems I see from poorly down the breast fat transfer have to do with providers who lack Liposuction skill.
Upper extremities are technically difficult, but can consistently get quality outcomes with the right provider.
Unfortunately patients look for providers ineffective metrics. Being a good self promoter does not necessarily make somebody a good surgeon.
Famous surgeons often are not superior clinicians.

Serrapeptasse removed proteins- I used it a few times but if you have leaky gut you can get really sick, you must do it on a completely empty stomach, not even cream in coffee. on the plus side, I was diagnosed with blood clot in lower leg and it would swell after a few hours, but when I used the Serrapeptasse it did not swell but i only did it a few days. i went off my diet of eating no starches and the leaky gut started giving me trouble again & not knowing I did the Serrapeptasse one night as I would get up to pee and take it then, then about two hours later drank coffee with cream and was in the rest room within an hour with a trash can on my face and on the toilet, very sick. I intend to go after it again as soon as leaky gut is under control which may take a few months of doing zero starches. Thanks for sharing your journey.

I would LOVe my after to look like yours now! I am in the process of finding surgeons for explant and likely fat transfer but with Covid and all I'm holding off for a bit. I've had implants since I was 22, I'm 46 now, and 3 implant surgeries so far. I've skipped around on your videos but have you ever mentioned what size you were before you got implants? I don't remember filling an A cup so I'm quite worried about a concave shape after removal. Not sure the size of my implants but they're gel and D's in most bras. I think you look amazing in your tank, I personally would be so happy if that was my outcome! I've not researched fat transfer much at all, once you are healed do you have to be careful with them or once they are at they're final volume/look will they stay like that and can he 'handled'/squeezed.... yes, I'm specifically asking if my husband will be able to handle them without fear of squeezing them too hard and damaging the fat that's left inside. It's personal but I haven't seen anyone else address that. Gonna go back and watch some more of your videos. Hope you are still well and happy!

I was a small B cup before implants. Went to a 34D with implants. "He" can definitely grab them but I was left with lots of hard lumps (dead fat tissue) so it feels weird in multiple areas. They are still sensitive to the touch around the explant scars. I definitely miss my implants. Hope this helps!

Erica omg you are telling my story girl! I didn’t do the fat transfer but explanted a little over 2months ago and have zero regrets. I had mine 18 years~ I have not experienced any mind blowing healing experience from removing them. Actually I’m kind of like you I think I actually have a few more issues I’m dealing with on top of them which may be due to detox or maybe just maybe my implants had nothing to do with my health issues. Either way it was time and I’m happy to be rid of those things in my body. I’m about an A-B now and M considering fat transfer due to having that slope or loss of volume where you mentioned yours was. Who was your Dr? I don’t know a whole, lot about it. Was it painful and was there a lot of bruising and downtime? How expensive is the procedure? Thank you! Love your video!

From what you know know about fast transfer, do you think it would be better to wait a longer time after having explanted to go back and get the fat graft done? My surgeon told me there's a big pocket left after taking the implants out and that with time they will get filled up again. I can tell they have been recovering from that bc when I would lay down and get back up I would have this pressure feeling almost as of you were filling up a balloon. So thinking about that I wonder maybe it's best to give it some time to filled up so when the fat gets transfer there's less space that needs filling. What's your opinion?

  • @amielynn2657
    @amielynn2657 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! It’s been 5 months since explant I had my implants in for 17 years also and I’m 45 now. I’m seriously considering fat transfer to my breasts (laser airsculpt where you’re awake instead of under anesthesia) because I also have that flat look and con-caved feel... exactly in the same area where you pointed yours out. Also, the nipple likes to lay flat when soft.
Anyways, my question is if you had any loose wrinkle skin on your breasts since explant especially when lifting your arms? If so, did it go away when you had the fat transfer?
I miss my implants or should I say I miss the larger size of my breasts but if I had to do it all over again and what I know today that I didn’t know back then, I would say Hell NO!
So depressing to look in the mirror these days. 😢😭😩🙁😫☹️

Amie Lynn Hi, can i ask why you decided to remove your implants? I had a mastectomy and radiation and am weighing the options now, whether a breast implant or fat grafting (which is a huge surgery taking fats and blood vessels from tummy)...however i am really lean and hardly have much fats. I also have the smallest breasts ever lol.

    • @amielynn2657
      @amielynn2657 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

@@Dandelion_flight Hi, I'm very sorry to hear that you have had to go through that. I removed my implants because I was having all kinds of symptoms and every time I went to the doctor they ran tests and everything came back normal. I got my implants in 2002 one ruptured on its own in 2009 and all my symptoms started in 2012. First it was my thyroid then it was fatigued, hair loss, muscle aches and pains, anxiety, breast tenderness, skin rash on my face out of no where, back pain, shoulder/neck pain, decreased libido, heart palpitations, extreme vaginal odor(due to the toxins trying to get out of my body) and no matter how much deodorant I wore my armpits smelled horrific (also due to the toxins trying to find a way out), insomnia, memory loss/brain fog at times I felt like I had dementia, stomach issues, reactivated EPB, then to top it off I started feeling lightheaded all the time which was super scary that started in 2016 up until I had them removed Aug. 2019 and the last symptoms I started experiencing was neuropathy which started in 2019. Believe it or not ALL of my symptoms are gone!!! Except my thyroid looks like I'll be on medicine forever. Yeah, I looked good in clothing and had more confident BUT if they offered fat transfer back than I probably more than likely would have tried that route verses implants. It definitely is not worth all the pain, discomfort and stress they had put me under and now I'm back at where I was before I had implants and now they look worse then they did before I got implants (like old lady breasts, lol) Nipples are saggy and skin is loose because it's been stretched out for 17 years. Don't get me wrong I'm glad they're out I don't regret removing them because I feel so much healthier and that's everything to me! BUT I do regret getting them!! I have days now that I get really depressed and sad and I cry all day because of the way my breasts look now and then I snap out of it. It's not an easy road to travel but there is light at the end of the tunnel and more important things in life to dwell on other than big boobs. Remember if you put them in You will HAVE to replace them at least every 10 years or sooner. That's more money, more stress on your cardiovascular system everytime your body goes under anesthesia and more healing time. I thought when I got mine I was going to live with them forever grow old with them but nope that's not the case. Please reconsider getting breast implants!!
You should look up Dr. Aaron Rollins he invented air sculpt liposuction. It's amazing what he can do with fat transfer and you don't have to be put under anesthesia it's nothing like regular fat transfer. Just Google there are videos of him performing the procedure. That's what I'll be having done eventually just giving my body time to recover from all the stress and toxins. Just so you know incase no one has told you. I don't know how young you are but our bodies in breast change over time as we age so the breast you have today more than likely won't look like that in the future. I hope this helps you with your decision.
      Best of luck to you!!

Amie Lynn Thanks lovely for taking time and effort to share I really appreciate that. Yes I am aware about the implants needing to be changed every 10-15 years. I am 46. Definitely so much better to have my own fats. But for my case as I lost the whole left breast I need fat grafting rather than simply fats transfer to get the breast shape back again, and fats grafting would be major surgery and I hate having large scar across my bikini in the future. One thing good is I have very small breasts so I should be able to just put on weight to get a chunk of belly fats for the surgery. It would be a long journey especially if I go on the public system with a 12 months waiting period but it will all be paid for since I have a cancer diagnosis and it will be considered breast reconstruction rather than cosmetic procedure. I am so glad you feel much better now my friend. Have you tried going in some detox program to help your body? Coffee enemas are good too. I have been doing for few years now. It helps your liver produce the master antioxidant. You can search up a bit on Gerson Therapy. :)

@@Dandelion_flight I just read what Ami had to say and all I can say is wow; I also had double mastectomy; I waited 5 years before I had my reconstruction; its been 12 years I have no issues at all; she is wrong breast implants do not have to replaced if you are having no issues; I think you need to do what is right for you; I guess my biggest concern about fat transfer is how much is lost and whether you continue to loose fat; I think fat transfer is relatively new I haven't seen enough research to see what happens in 5 years or more and whether you develop lumps with time.

@@houston5568 Hi Houston, so happy for you that you did not get into any issues with implants at all. Did you use expanders or did you do skin sparing mastectomy? I had a DIEP Flapreconstruction done instead for the mastectomy side. I am just waiting for the next stage which is to use an implant onto the right side to even out the sizes. I am a bit anxious that I may get problem especially this capsular contracture. Hopefully not. For the DIEP flap, surgeon removed my abdomen fats to construct a new breast, so I do not need to worry about fat loss if I lose weight. He has given me quite a large breast and he plans to actually lipsuction it to downsize it a cup. I am so happy to be given back some dignity after the reconstruction lost to cancer.

Much longer for transfer because lipo takes longer to heal. It's the areas they take the fat from that is a longer recovery process.

When interviewing the 5 for explant, I also talked to them about FT. I was not comfortable with any of them for that. I met with Dr Ravi and after that consult I felt comfortable. He didn't over promise, wasn't trying to "sell" and told me not to expect big difference in size. I saw pics and did not hear or see of anyone else experience lump issues. Patient coordinator even had her arms done with him with no issues. He didn't seem to be worried at first and said they would go away.
