    Small Curve window is a big problem, you are not alone with this. Hope they'll change it soon.

      Yea I would love for that to be resized in the next update as well. They have proven it is possible so now they just need to add it in.

    I have had the update for about a week and use No noise AI a lot . Almost as soon as I click on no noise AI or the other 2 I I immediately get an enlarged portion with the slider and the hand so I can look at different parts. Never had a problem like you have. Everything seems much quicker.

      That is great to hear, because I think this is just an issue with my computer vs the software. Sadly this is a relatively new computer and I'm not have any issues with any other software, and I use a lot of programs. This is the only program that moves slow on my machine. Thankfully this is not the case for too many others as I have heard mostly positive feedback on this update. Thank you for sharing.

      @@FreeWillPhotos ON1 2024 is so slow for me. That’s why I reverted back to the 2023 version which is actually fast in comparison to the 2024 update.🤦🏽‍♀️

      Wow that is interesting, and everyone is getting mixed results with the 2024 version. I have it installed on two machines and it works faster on my M1 Macbook Air with 8GB RAM than it does on my M1 Mac Mini with 16GB RAM. I don't really know what to make of it, but 2023 is a great version. Have you contacted the support team at ON1 to see if they have any insight for you?

      @@FreeWillPhotos Yes, I’ve been in touch with Tech Support three times but their suggestions and tips haven’t really fixed the issues. I have a Mac mini M1 running Sonoma (16gb) as well. I just reinstalled 2024.3 this very morning…and the booting was like molasses😣. Same issues with the thumbnails not displaying, slow processing, frozen editing😑. I’ve uninstalled it for the moment. Hope there’s a future fix because I love this app!🤞🏽

      Version 2024.3 has been painfully slow for me. Especially on exports and NoNoise (and similar features). Just painfully slow. Previous 2024 version was lightning fast. I'm hoping the upcoming .5 update will bring those speed improvements back.

    I have upgraded to the new On1Photo Raw 2024 with the new NoNoise AI and I have noticed that the rendering time to complete the No
    Noise AI on a photo can take almost 4 minutes to render then when that process is done it takes another 3 minutes to export the 2mb file . Is anyone else having this issue. My computer is a very capable DAW that can process a 100 audio tracks without a single problem or dropout . The SSD are Samsung and very capable. Thanks for your videos really appreciate you sharing your knowledge.

    • @FreeWillPhotos

      That is strange it slowed down. I have gained a little bit more responsiveness from ON1 by consolidating the number of HD's and other USB attachments I have plugged into the computer. This has helped out a lot. No problem on sharing what I have learned over the years because I truly do enjoy using the software and helping others learn about it at the same time.

    Hi Chris. I opened up ON1, dusted off the cobwebs, and followed along with ya on one of my image with 8,000 ISO. The same quirkyness happened with NoNoise AI on my iMac.

    • @FreeWillPhotos
      @FreeWillPhotos  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I wonder if this is a Mac issue. It happens on most of my photos, but if I apply it to an image using the sync, it generates the rendered version when I open the file. I think it is just an M1/2 chip thing since the GPU is connected to the CPU. Good to hear that you are back in ON1 Photo RAW.

    Good to hear your thoughts on this release.
    I have installed it, but not used it yet.
    Regarding that hamburger menu, I feel it should always show not have to hover over it. There is room so why not always show it.
    I think the user interface still needs a lot of work, still too many hidden objects. If you are intimidated by ON1 menu's I think as you progress it could turn into frustration trying to find the hidden items like the old detective computer games of old.

    • @FreeWillPhotos
      @FreeWillPhotos  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yea it would be nice if there was an option in the preferences to always leave those menus on. That could be an update in future releases and I think they want to move to a more user selected workspace, but that takes time to build out. I am excited to see them move in the direction of customizable workspaces.

    FYI - a small glitch has been identified when it comes to moving tabs in the right panel. If you just want to click on a tab with your mouse to activate it, you have to be careful NOT to move your mouse more than a couple of pixels. If you do accidentally move you mouse when clicking the software thinks you want to move the tab not just clicking to activate the tab. It is very annoying when trying to activate a tab. My experience has shown that it takes a couple of tries to activate a tab. I don't know if this is happening in macOS & Windows versions, but I know it is happening in macOS Sonoma. Hopefully, ON1 will come up with a solution, maybe by offering an on/off switch in Preferences.

    • @FreeWillPhotos
      @FreeWillPhotos  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you for sharing this information. I noticed that issue as well when I was working with the software in full screen. What I have done as a work around is click on the lower part of the tab and it usually activates it. Hopefully they get this figured out and corrected.

    Chris: I exported a batch of 55 photos earlier today and it roughly took about 2-3 minutes to have it complete. I checked the pics and all were there and looked good

    • @FreeWillPhotos
      @FreeWillPhotos  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey Danny, that sounds pretty good and relatively fast. Most of the time I don't worry about export times because I am off doing something else while the images export, but I wanted to test it since the times were supposed to get faster. I was surprised how long it took for the images to export when I did. As for the result, everything worked well once it was done. I think it might be my computer, but ON1 is the only program that does not work well for me on my machine.

    • @DannyFyffe
      @DannyFyffe 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@FreeWillPhotos Chris: The export has been pretty fast since the last version. However, I tried the Tack sharp AI which I know was not updated. It did make my pics look better, but after it was done and I clicked off the photo, it looked way worse. I would go back to it and it just looked like mush. So not sure what happened there. I will test it more, but it seems to have a bug in it.

    Hi Chris; I'm really liking this release, and to me it seems quicker than the previous release. If they would just fix my one issue I'd be on-board in a minute. But for now, both Mylio and Adobe have taken photo sync to the level of art-form.

    • @FreeWillPhotos
      @FreeWillPhotos  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Yea this is a good release and I do enjoy it, but for some reason my computer is struggling with ON1. This is the only program that gives me a hard time because all of my other programs work great. I don't know what it is because I am exceeding all of the system requirements.

    • @iastorgaphotos
      @iastorgaphotos 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’ve actually reverted back to the 2023 version. The new update would take awhile to boot, it would freeze while editing, thumbnails would not display, “application not responding”, the export action would get stuck (spinning ball of death)…And it’s a shame since the Noise AI is definitely improved.😩

  • @Martingj56

    I find that like a lot of AI noise cleaning it creates weird artifacts if you do zoom in, especially on people. I tend to crop on the R5 and it is quite noticeable.. almost to point I prefer 2023 or dialing back 2024. This even on ISO 6400 (not 64000).

    I get good results setting the enhance detail at 10 and then play with the luminance slider around 70 to 90 I'm not saying you should use this as everyone has different tastes.
    I havent got a fast computer so I had to disable a few things in preference to speed up No Noise !

      I think it really does come down to the computer specs that you have. After talking with a few others the results on how fast/slow the render time is for NoNoise AI is varied. I am not sure how much RAM your GPU has, but that seems to be a big part in the render times.
