Franklin Getting Stronger with Devastating Impacts Ahead...

- Tropical Storm Franklin is getting stronger, and it will bring devastating flood impacts to the Dominican Republic. Any shift in the track of Franklin will mean higher impacts for Haiti and Puerto Rico. Franklin could become a hurricane before hitting the Dominican Republic and Haiti. After that, it could bring hurricane conditions to Bermuda and the Atlantic Region of Canada.
DOMINICAN REPUBLIC: Finish preparations now. The rain with this system will bring extreme and catastrophic flooding. Over 350 mm of rain is possible, and that is over 12 inches! Anything and anyone near swollen rivers will be washed away. River crossing will be impassable. Mudslides are highly likely. The WORST WEATHER moves in late Tuesday and for Tuesday night, into early Wednesday.
HAITI: Make the preparations now for the possibility of intense flooding. When you watch this video, you will see that there is a sharp divide between flooding rain and no rain. It will be a very close call for Haiti. If Franklin doesn't turn quick enough, that could bring catastrophic flooding to Haiti. THE WORST WEATHER will be Tuesday night into early Wednesday. Please stay away from any area that has a history of flooding.
PUERTO RICO, US VIRGIN ISLANDS, BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS: Rain bands on the east side of Franklin will move in...at times. Some spots stay dry, but if you get stuck in a rain band, 4-5 inches of rain will be possible (100mm). Isolated areas of flooding are possible. Please stay alert the next 2 days.

Best weatherman I have ever followed over the years. Before internet it was the weather channel, but not much info back then for us on the islands, there was one guy though, but that is bcs he was on the islands. So he was aware
he seems to see those islands as part of him. super cool to see

I want to share how this channel recently helped my family. We had planned our family vacation for the week of August 7th. Everything was set for us to spend that week in Hawaii. Thankfully, I watched one of the videos on this channel in which Brian was talking about Hurricane Dora, even before it became a hurricane. No other channel was discussing that system yet. He explained that it was expected to turn into a hurricane and would pass very close to Hawaii right around the time we would be there. So, taking his warning into account, we decided to change our vacation destination. Instead of Hawaii, we went to Cancun, Mexico.
On August 8th, while I was on a beautiful white sandy beach, sipping margaritas in Cancun, I learned about the disaster that the people in Maui Hawaii were experiencing with that terrible wildfire that occurred. Those tourists who appeared on all the national news channels, filming the fire from a pool while trying to save their lives, could very well have been me and my family. Many thanks for the efforts put forth by this channel.

Brian is the only person I listen to re the weather. We in the Caribbean consider him to be the very best (just read the comments) that God has blessed us with. His accuracy is spoton. In fact, on several occasions he told us rain would start falling at or around a particular time, and like clock work it occurred. In the island I am from we would say, "Brian is in God's top pocket, for everything God says concerning the weather, Brian knows."

It rained again one hour straight, and very hard as well. Our garden was flooded as well, but thankfully the water doesn't stay in one spot.. It's very cloudy and there is hardly any wind as well. Good Monday morning, everyone. We had quite a bit of rain here in New Providence over the weekend but no severe flooding that I'm aware of. Reasonable amounts of rain is always welcome because it helps to temper the heat and dust. Thanks for all you're doing to keep us informed, Brian.

Yesterday in Anguilla, we had about 4 hrs of heavy, continuous rain in the afternoon. Some areas became flooded, but nothing extreme or serious, thank God. Good evening Brian & Wx Community. Today in the morning the eastern side of Aruba got some hefty rain showers, the western side was dry. This was much needed rain for us, so we are happy for that. The rest of the day was overcast and barely any wind, slight breeze from the south west. The usually calm seas at the southern side were choppy, but no waves. Thank you for keeping us updated, Brian. My brothers and sisters in Haiti, D.R. and P.R. stay safe, having visited all three islands, it's clear that they cannot handle so much rain, not even talking about the wind. I will keep you all close to my heart, quidense mucho y que esten bien!!
