This is a big bunch of BS ! The 40s were tough times. People were happy to get a good reliable car. They weren't concerned about horsepower or style. They were all very appropriate for the time.Another thing, If you're going to rant about a car, at least show pictures of the correct car !

WHEN I WAS A KID IN SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, THERE WAS AN INSURANCE COMPANY IN THE EARLY 1960'S THAT HAD WRECKED CARS IN THEIR YARD WITH SIGNS ON THEM TELLING YOU WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CARS. I REMEMBERED ONE TOTALLED CAR, SMASHED UP WITH THE FRONT PUSHED UP TO THE REAR. A SIGN ON IT SAID, "A FAMILY OF 5 DIED IN THAT CAR", THERE WAS STILL BLOOD ON THE INSIDE, I REMEMBERED!!! THEY DON'T DO THAT ANYMORE, DO THEY!!!!??? BUT THEY SHOULD, TO WAKE PEOPLE UP!!!!

You don't need to use all capitals all the time Mr Davenport it appears like your screeming on the comment section ..Richard if that's your real name you might want to change it on the phone because people may harass you.

Who is this individual? I’m sure he didn’t live during the times of the 40s and 50s. This individual got his information out of some bad information. This individual seems to forget there as a a pretty big war going on during the early 40s. These cars were built for its time. From a war footage to freedom and millions of guys coming home from the hell of war. It took years for many countries to survive the destruction of a world war to include America. Most of these cars and trucks built did what they were intended to do. Buying cars during that period was pretty hard to do. Among the “Hot Rodders” the Willy’s American was a very hot drag car in the 50s and 60s. This clown needs to get its facts together. How do I know this? I lived as a kid during this period and still enjoy the older vehicles for what they were. Next this individual will go after the Ford model A. None of these cars were intended to meet today’s safety standards. Back then there as not much offered in any vehicle related to air bags or seat belts, safety glass was offered in many vehicles in the early 20s. Don’t listen to individuals that mock vehicles or the manufacturers in the early years. Look at the real facts. These vehicles sales went through the roof after the war and the guys were coming home. After what these guys went through during the war they were not worried about seat belts or air bags. There was none! Most of these cars mentioned are collector valued vehicles. This individual would bad mouth the covered wagon for not having the necessary safety features of today. The rest of you folk and your comments should investigate the true facts regarding these vehicles of the years after the war. Education is a great thing, especially if one finds the true facts of what’s not being stated.

Anyone looking for performance bought a Ford with it's V8 engine. Most cars had a flat six engine. People who bought those were not disappointed by the performance. It's what they expected from an engine designed in the 30s.
If you do any more videos try to get someone else to make the video. That was atrocious. If you talk about performance you don't show inside the trunk. When you talk about comfort show the interior.
