As a Canadian that only gets to experience the prem through a screen I can say that this song the stadium and the fans are class. Maybe one day I’ll get to see a match
Deffo a match in person is worth the cost. I want to visit Canada but it's expensive. Hopefully we both get to see each other's parts of the world. I'll hold my NUFC scarf up for you
i bloody love that Local Hero-piece 😌 Newcastle has always been my second favourite team and im happy seeing them getting their club back ☺️✊🏻 Greetings from the north, Finland!
I'm with David who posted a while ago... thank you for posting this. I live in South Carolina in the USA and can only dream of making it St. James for a match. Makes you feel like you're there. Hopefully one day soon! ⚫️ ⚪️
My memory might be playing tricks, years ago I thought they went straight from Blaydon Races into Local Hero and the players ran out at Local Hero started. I liked that over this.
I think you might be right but the premier league wanted to standardise the walking out and lining up so that it would always fit their TV coverage. It is done the same way at every Premier League game now just with clubs having their own choices of music (with the premier league theme chucked into the middle of it all).
I absolutely love Local Hero. Reminds me of my grandad and family in general, who are all Geordies originally, even though I grew up in Haydon Bridge which is 25 miles West. Don’t live in the area anymore but that songs makes me feel like I still have a connection to the NE.
Cheers mate, I would like to think that we are some of the most humble fans at the same time as some of the most passionate. I do hope it stays that way as opposed to becoming like some of the top clubs fans are.
Where do u see an atmosphere like that onna Saturday...that city's just football mad....Newcastle's all about footy...it's the main thing that's keeps that place alive...ask ANYONE who lives there....git up...🏴👍👍👍👍👍
Local Hero is an instrumental piece of music with no lyrics, Newcastle fans do however hum along to it whilst it plays. Or maybe you are hearing the singing to Blaydon Races or Hey Jude?

@@seamusconnolly9710 it was the 80s I started going. See gazza. Different era. I think seating has killed the atmospheres down. More families get in these days too. You seem to see more females then ever before at the match. Lots of young lads with their girlfriends etc.
Leicester have the worst atmosphere at their home ground have( haven’t ) heard. Their fans may as well not be there unless they score. Very sad for the team.

Bruno's fuckin magic! What an atmosphere, what a game, what a team, what a club!
EDDIE HOWE'S BLACK AND WHITE ARMY! ⚫⚪
Amazing atmosphere, one thing that struck me was the pace of the game. TV doesn’t do it justice but my god it’s quick here.
Bloody love Newcastle fans, hope they don’t become unlikable due to success

Geordies these days seem bored. I worked in Newcastle dockyards in the 80s. There was no need for a dj at that time at St James.
