Nikita Barvinok I sold them due to their age and technical condition. They played somewhat distorted (not aparent from this video) and I did not want to invest in repairs. I bought them at auction very cheaply and sold them for a similar amount. Now I listen to modern DIY speakers with aluminum Seas woofers (also in the video) and I can say that they sound certainly more "hifi", more neutrally and they are not so burdensome for the amplifier.
Nikita Barvinok Thank you for your appreciation. The room has approximately 20 square meters. With floating floor and boxes placed along the longer side, the acoustics are not the best. However, it is not a major limiting factor. TMR-80 sounded very nice without annoying bass resonance.
You don't use thorns/spikes for TMR 80? I'm going to bye this pair of speakers soon, my previous was Dali Lektor 6, will I be suprised how TMR 80 sounding after Dali what do you think? ;)
Nikita Barvinok To be precise, I have already sold T+A TMR-80. For practical reasons, I do not use any thorns/spikes for my floorstanding speakers. Nevetheless, such an elevation improves the sound slighty and is generally recommended. Furthemore, I cannot comment on the comparison with your Dali Lektor 6, because I have never listened to any product of this famous Danish manufacturer. In any case, it is a tricky (and a little unfair) comparison between newish modern and vintage 30 years old speakers. Theoretically, I would expect more sound precision by Dali (better for acoustic, especially classical music) and warmer, livelier sound presentation by T+A (great to play electronic music and early digital rock/pop recordings from the '80s). To sum up, they will probably sound very different, but it is difficult to say which are better: its rather a matter of your personal taste.
TMR 80 is high end i suppose:) And Lektor 6 is new (compared to old TMR's) but not perfect for the sound - it's not even high end :) So I think TMR's will beat Lektor's like 10:0 :)) By the way, have you ever listened to T+A Criterion TB 120/140?
Nikita Barvinok "High end" is a very vague term and I would not use it for measuring or anticipation of sound quality. However, I do not want to spoil your pure joy and enthusiasm:-) Give it a listen and make your opinion. Unfortunately, I have never heard bigger brothers of TMR-80.
Nice
This sound equipment sounds great. I can attest to that as I listen to it on my €10 Logitech speakers.

Queston? Is the Shanling CD-S100 a good investment?
Hey! Could you please tell which size of banana plug in TMR 80 ? 4mm or more?
I sold my Dali lektor 6 to buy tmr80 :) it would be pity if I did it wrong ) By the way why did you sold them?

Nice video! How large is your room? Does TMR 80 feel ok in 17' m room?
