One recommendation: Polarize the connectors. I'm not sure if the plug had polarization, or not. It's alsways good practice to make sure the cables can only be hooked up one way. If you make your hot neutral, and you have a short, it could energize the metal parts of the outer casing.
Not really my cup of tea, but is pretty cool, she now has 2 of them. This one and one that is a bit smaller that has a grist mill inside instead of the lady statues.
They are certainly... different. Not exactly my area of interest, but my daughter is a huge fan. She has another one not quite as big as this one as well.
