Me and my brother ran into the CD guys, they put them in our hands and even signed mine. We both took the cds, said thanks and kept walking. The dude ran up to us and told us we had to pay and we laughed in his face. Put something in my hand and I’ll just assume it’s free. So many people are just afraid to say no.
I was sitting at a machine in Golden Nugget and some guy tried to sell me a "gold" bracelet for $100. I politely declined with a "no thanks" and he counter offered with I think $50 and I just said "What!? No!" and he left.
My best friend ended up buying a CD from one of those guys only to find out it was blank when she got home! I told her not to but she “felt bad.” I remember falling for the monk scam in NY and have them 5$ he was so mad lol. I come across that lady on the NYNY to MGM Grand pedestrian bridge every morning when I go home from work on my way to the bus stop. She hands me some card every time and I say no every time. After about maybe 4 months of that, she'd probably know by now that I'm not a tourist but she still does it every time....even when my employee ID is prominently hanging around my neck.

I wish you would have done the time share your and found out if he was being honest! Please go back and do it again! I really liked this video. Very original!
I seriously question some of the lower end "scammers". Who knows if they're not the victim of human trafficking? Maybe they were brought in owing a sum of money that they are forced to work off? Maybe the immigration paperwork is being withheld until they earn a certain amount of money? I think some "scammers" may actually be desperate victims caught in a difficult situation with no hope of getting out.
First guy is one of the few guys on the strip I like 😅 he doesn’t harass for pics or money you just give it and he dances to cameo or prince and it’s fun.
I always wonder about that, the last time I went to Las Vegas was in 2006 and there wasn't fake "Showgirls", street vendors, people dressed up as characters from movies or TV shows. Note: The person dressed as Yoda seems very polite.
I just saw a similar video about scams in TIME Square in New York. And the "monks" are there too!! Man, they really need money for that temple...!! Lol
First thing I notice is too not walk like a tourist. Walk like a native and don’t pay attention to none of them, and quit drawing attention to yourself by taking pictures every twenty seconds
It's interesting how they keep saying "This is how I feed my family" as if that some how means it's legitimate. Just because it's what you do to feed your family doesn't mean that some how establishes a foundation of trust. In fact, when you really think about it, that makes you sound like your scamming me, because that phrase is meant to make me feel guilty for not doing what you want me to do. Legitimate businesses don't typically utilize guilt as a method to sell something.
Tanya you are a mess!! You are too funny!!! Thank you for the info!! Dave very good taping the video!!! From Tricee in Virginia Beach, Virginia ⛱️⛱️⛱️ TO THE BEST COUPLE EVER!!!😊
@@Yamezzzz when you have cousins who work for border patrol in the state of Nevada who follow up with these migrant caravans and eventually raid the drop off locations I can confidently say they are being 100% trafficked. The people bringing them in don’t confess but much of the merch similar to what was shown in this video is found. Are they scammers? Do they exist throughout the world? Duh..still don’t believe me, go hit up W Charleston Blvd on the southwest part of the Vegas on a Tuesday night near where I used to work. That was a hot spot back in the early 2010s.
I was just there a week ago, my mom didn't listen to me and got scammed by the fake monks and he straight up put a bracelet on her wouldn't take it back and demanded $10 she talked him down to a $5 but he was very aggressive so everybody beware.
Time share tip: go only if they offer a cash gift card for $100 minimum that you can spend anywhere. If you are good at saying NO over and over, it can be good money.
Thanks for this video; I've always walked by and ignored the hustlers on the strip, so it's interesting to see how the interactions go down. Those fake monks don't even deserve the title of monk. As someone who follows Buddhism, it makes me so angry to see people use the religion to make money. To be an actual Buddhist monk, you have to practice for years and embody the principles (they live simply); they remain in their temples meditating, praying, teaching classes, and doing their chores. The temples would never send them out to get donations. They're shilling cheap fake jewelry that has Buddhist deities on them. If you want an item for good fortune, go to a real temple. You'll "buy" it at the price, but it's a donation that goes to support the temple and monks. At least the jewelry/item has been sitting in the temple where the monks are praying, and you can take your item and pray with it in the temple too.
My late husband and I honeymooned at the Jockey Club in June 1978 for 4 days. We had almost no money as newlyweds. We could not afford to but a timeshare there. I am surprised they are still there 45 years later.❤😂
I think the time share guy annoyed me the most. He sucked up the most amount of TIME. When I'm in Vegas the last thing I want to do is waste time with a salesman.
Little piece of trivia, most real buddhist monks aren't allowed to take a gift (donation) from a woman!! It must be handed to a man, then handed over to the monk. These fake monks are in just about every large tourist city, running the same scam.
Took my kids to Vegas! Those monks tried putting bracelets on my kiddos. 7 year old and 10 year old. But my kiddos knew the deal not to take anything from anyone. Make sure u talk to your crew including ur kids about scams. Fellas bachelor parties the show girls get aggressive. Specially if ur team is tipsy. One made a scene about us being cheap $10 tip.

You would be way better off doing that on the internet lol youll get way more profit
True! He does a great job!
always wondered why the city or county allows this on their streets?
I always wonder about that, the last time I went to Las Vegas was in 2006 and there wasn't fake "Showgirls", street vendors, people dressed up as characters from movies or TV shows.
Note: The person dressed as Yoda seems very polite.
Great vlog, especially the timeshare advice. I go to them all the time, say no, and get my free stuff...
Thanks for the video, headed to vegas in 3 hours & am very excited!!
I just saw a similar video about scams in TIME Square in New York. And the "monks" are there too!!
Man, they really need money for that temple...!! Lol
😳😂
First thing I notice is too not walk like a tourist. Walk like a native and don’t pay attention to none of them, and quit drawing attention to yourself by taking pictures every twenty seconds
This was a good one. Great jobs guys
Awesome video tanya you did a awesome job and Dave awesome cameraman thanks for sharing guys. I love the episode.❤❤❤🌎🌎🌎
Anything to do with “timeshares” I run away as fast and far away as I can.
Love all the content and was amazing to meet you on freemont a couple weeks back, much love from 🇬🇧 from Andy and Emily
Wow, thanks for the comments and the advice. 😊 Awesome video. ❤
Thank you! You’re welcome! We appreciate that!
The CD scam is crazy because who still uses cds these days everything’s online
40 dollars per girl just to take a picture with them, who they think they is ? 😂
That time share guy! You're better off just staying in a hotel, air b&b, or resort and avoiding the time share thing all together.
Nevermind the scam, those “monks” are 100% being trafficked
They aren't. They're scammers, they're all over th the world.
It's pretty foolish to present guesses as facts with "100%" certainty.
Just gotta put the bracelet down on the floor in front of them if they won't take it and run before they get you 😂
those people are probably being victim of human trafficking
Such great tips! Thanks
Feel like all these people are experienced enough to be extra nice when being filmed 😂😂😂
With 40,000 plus tourist in Vegas, one could afford to just walk on by saying no thank you.
This was a really good video! I go to Vegas all the time so I just ignore them or even mess with them.
What a fabulous job! Thank you so much. CAB😍
Thanks for the video and heads up guys!!
My late husband and I honeymooned at the Jockey Club in June 1978 for 4 days. We had almost no money as newlyweds. We could not afford to but a timeshare there. I am surprised they are still there 45 years later.❤😂
Also you guys are so amazing I love watching your content it's very informative you guys ROCK❤
Thank you for that! Good to know
Great video, thank you, I’ve just subscribed :)
Thanks so much, welcome aboard!
Baby Yoda was very respectful. Truly amazing. God bless him.
