Wow, what a beautiful and amazing clinic. While very happy with my tiny local optometrist, it is so interesting to see some new machines, many I figured only an ophthalmologist would have access to. I am glad your patients have access to such wonderful care
Thank you very much! I feel blessed to work at such an amazing clinic. The only instruments I would think ophthalmology would use differently than optometry would be surgical instruments for invasive surgery, such as in the OR.
What an incredible clinic! Aside from the size and state of the art equipment I really appreciated the effort you go to, to make your patients (of any age) feel comfortable and relaxed. If i lived close by, i would be a patient but living in Australia makes it a little hard to make it to appointments on time!😂. thank you for the wonderful and educational tour. PS i love and have watched all your videos.
Thank you so much! Yes, that would be an awful long way to travel! I really appreciate you watching the channel. Please be sure to let me know if there is a topic you would like to see!
WOW this was such an amazing and informative video. I am being referred to a retina specialist for a visit this month for concerns and seeing the equipment you use and knowing you have such a passion for education makes me feel much more at ease but the clinic you are in would so be worth the travel from Vermont just for the additional peace of mind if needed. THANK YOU for all you dedication to knowledge and keep these videos coming!!!

Eventually someone who doesn't have appointment leaves. Or they get told waiting area is only for clients who have an appointment today.

Hey Dr. Allen! I've replied to your questions on my comment that I had done in your previous video! I see it in my both eyes. btw It this strange phenomenon known to the science community?
Love the video wish you had a clinic in Central FL Can you please tell me how to heal cataract from the eyes. Is there a supplement to take for it? Thankyou very much!
Why do when I look extremely up my vision in both eyes becomes slightly tilted oppositely and I see double, I have visual snow if that has anything to with it.
I of course cannot speak directly to what you are experiencing without an examination. However, some people do have eye muscle deviations - even some which are classified as a V or A type depending on how their eyes converge or diverge in up and down gaze. Best to see a local doc about what is going on and ask them to check on that.
@@DoctorEyeHealth is it strabismus or something else, I don't know if it was like this becuz I never paid attention to it and it only occurs when I look extremely up
My eyes have been dry and bother me for ten years. I finally found a great Dr who tested my iron levels, and I have iron overload. It is a big factor why my eyes have been red and dry
Very nice place! Wish we had quality places like this near me. I live In the boonies and had to go out of state to have my first eye exam done. Dr. Allen...thank you very much for doing this eye clinic tour. My name is Mike and I'm 57 years old living in Columbus Ohio. I think I am one of the few folks who've lived their entire lives without glasses or contacts. I've just now been diagnosed with farsightedness and astigmatism. I have a prescription for a pair of glasses and I had this filled by Luxoticca/LensCrafters here in Columbus. The Optomotrists office that did my eye exam had only older equipment. The devices that your show us in this video look to be state of the art machinery and I wish I had an exam done with this level of current technology. Dr. Allen, would you recommend that I have another exam completed (I so wish your clinic were closer to me) by another more "up-to-date" Optometrist office that has this new equipment? I'm kind of worried that since my exam was done with much older equipment I may not have had the best exam possible. I'd love your thoughts on that subject. Thank you Dr. Allen....I really enjoy your TH-cam Channel (I just discovered it this week) and I hope to learn much from you as I become acclimated to this new world I've just recently entered. Cheers !........Mike T.
Wow! Thanks Mike! Really happy you found the channel. I feel blessed to work at a clinic with such amazing equipment. The owners have an equal passion for eyecare and since we also teach students, we value having state of the art equipment. Yes, it is nice having it and I know I catch a lot of subtle disease because of some of the devices. However, I have also worked in a lot of different clinics and the reality is that I am sure things worked out fantastic. Most equipment in optometry, even older stuff, is all built super durable. Some devices from the 1970s are still better quality than some of the new high tech stuff. Otherwise, I am sure the exam you received was very good.
Blessed, looks great , loved the video. I need your advice regarding some type of lenses I do have a case of optic neuritis with less vivid color and bery sensitive to lights especially outdoors and sun. Hey doci hv floaters but i also see electric thing running here nd there very tiny when i go outside nd whenevr i see sky or bright things i recently visited to a eye specialist he say nothing to wory about ny
I have a question. So I just got my glasses 2 days ago and when I wear it everything looks darker but when I take it off everything looks brighter is it normal or if not what should I do
7 Optometrists right now and we just hired another I believe. Do don't have any surgeons in house but we work very closely with some very close. Our retina doctor is literally across the pond from our clinic lol.
Thats all great but i ve been seeing double ghosting for 2 years getting worse and no eye doctors sees anything wrong. How is that possible? I can see well if i press on the eye.
Hmmm I have a few ideas. Have you seen a doctor who will put a hard contact lens on the eye and check your vision/ refraction to see if that gets rid of the ghosting and improves your vision? That would tell your doctor a few things.
I recently got monthly contacts and I noticed that sometimes my vision will go blurry, I just blink a little to make it go away. Do you have any suggestions to solve this problem?
Hey Thanks, I put the website in the video description. However, I am not sure if we are able to offer telehealth outside of the state. But if you are ever traveling in the area, feel free to make an appointment. I have been lucky to have several people fly from around the US to come see us.
Hello! Where is your office located? I thought I saw one of your podcasts where you stated you were in Minneapolis?! That would be awesome if this is true! Thank you for all of the time you put into making these videos and podcasts; I found you because I did a search on You Tube for people with floaters. (I've also recently learned how harmful LED lighting is on our eyes!!
This is my clinic! It’s in Sartell, MN. About an hour northwest of Minneapolis. I’ve seen Dr. Allen before and didn’t even know he was a TH-cam star 😂 I’ve got an exam with him next month.
Hello Dr Allen, I loved your tour.I love your beautiful, modern clinic. From what I see, your patients get a very high quality of comprehensive eye care. Iam a little concerned because I do not fell my eye clinics have these kinds of equipment or provisions for emergency eye care.I wish your clinic was within reach for me, so disappointing that it’s so far from New Hampshire, or NY where I used to live.i have floaters and a pvd and cateracts so Iam not too happy .I will have to do a lot of research to find a clinic like yours. Can you recommend a clinic like yours in NY or So. NH. Oh, I also have dry eyes and no one had ever used the dry eye equipment on me that you have in your clinic. Extremely frustrating. Thank you again. This video was very enlightening for me.
I work at an ophthalmologist’s office (specifically with a retina specialist, cornea/cataracts specialist, and a comprehensive opt). when you say new york, is that including long island? the offices in our company have very similar technology as this clinic :)
UC Berkeley School of Optometry (may be long exams done by students but you will have a faculty doctor and they do LOTS of research) also a reputation of being one of the best schools for Opto.
I wonder if CBD oil (substitute for antidepressants) can affect the eyes? And would it affect the eyes positively or negatively? It would be really interesting topic 🤗 P.S sorry for my english 🙂
Very very good question! I am preping a video to go deep on that topic...The reality, is that most glasses sold are owned ,and manufactured by only a few small companies, which also own the lens manufacturers...and the insurance! So most eye clinics don't make any money on the frame/glasses unless they charge more. And unfortunately, insurance reimbursement for the exam is comically low, which again...these few companies also own.
Hey thanks for watching! I hope it gives you a fun idea of what it is like to come to our clinic as a patient or a friend visiting for the first time. Please let me know if you have any specific questions about the clinic.

Can you make a video about manuka honey eye drops?
Yes! I have been following some publications on it! Will see what I can put together.
I have a question. So I just got my glasses 2 days ago and when I wear it everything looks darker but when I take it off everything looks brighter is it normal or if not what should I do
can you use colored contact lenses if you have good eyesight? I want to use them but I'm not sure if its something possible
Nice office! Have ophthalmologists and optometrists in your place? I grew up in MN.
7 Optometrists right now and we just hired another I believe. Do don't have any surgeons in house but we work very closely with some very close. Our retina doctor is literally across the pond from our clinic lol.
Can you review aqualens contact lens?
Thats all great but i ve been seeing double ghosting for 2 years getting worse and no eye doctors sees anything wrong. How is that possible? I can see well if i press on the eye.
Hmmm I have a few ideas. Have you seen a doctor who will put a hard contact lens on the eye and check your vision/ refraction to see if that gets rid of the ghosting and improves your vision? That would tell your doctor a few things.
@@DoctorEyeHealth i tried but no doctor suggested it. They dismiss it and say its dry eye but it permanent so..... cant be dry eyes right?
Great Tour !
Really cool clinic!💯
I recently got monthly contacts and I noticed that sometimes my vision will go blurry, I just blink a little to make it go away. Do you have any suggestions to solve this problem?
I live outside the US and I want to know how to in touch with the Clinic and what is the charge for a consultation.
Hey Thanks, I put the website in the video description. However, I am not sure if we are able to offer telehealth outside of the state. But if you are ever traveling in the area, feel free to make an appointment. I have been lucky to have several people fly from around the US to come see us.
This is amazing ❤.
How much do you think all this cost 😅?
Hey dr, are you working alone/ independently or you are attached to an ophthalmologist?
@@pinkfeet518 N Y includes Long Island , but I now live in New Hampshire.
@@barbnbirds haha I know but sometimes people in NYC don’t want to travel to the island
Can an optometrist prescribe medication and remove a chalazion?
Many can, (it is part of our education and training) but in the US it depends on the state you live in, because the profession is legislated.
@@DoctorEyeHealth Thanks, how about in MN?
Hi... Can i use your TH-cam content video for sharing in my website..?
Wow beautiful clinic sadly your over an hour away. 😢 I live closer to The MOA
@@RA82828 Now I can get behind that idea. 😉
Well you are always welcome if you are heading into the area!
CooL👍 Are u in NYC?
What school are most of your students from?
Where is LASIK room?
Too bad you don’t have a clinic near the Twin Cities!!
Well if you ever feel like driving an hour or so! Always happy to help!
Can you recommend a good optometry here in the Bay area, CA. Maybe you know someone. All the ones I've gone to just want my money.
UC Berkeley School of Optometry (may be long exams done by students but you will have a faculty doctor and they do LOTS of research) also a reputation of being one of the best schools for Opto.
Sir I'm pursuing Optometry please guide me on what to do after completing my graduation I'm from India There are not such opportunities
Sorry, I won't be coming to your Clinic, I live in Hawaii. However, your Clinic is impressive.
Thank you so much!
I wonder if CBD oil (substitute for antidepressants) can affect the eyes? And would it affect the eyes positively or negatively? It would be really interesting topic 🤗
P.S sorry for my english 🙂
👍👍👍👍
👍👍👍👍
Why are glasses so much more expensive in the optometrist office as opposed to buying the same brand frames online??
Very very good question! I am preping a video to go deep on that topic...The reality, is that most glasses sold are owned ,and manufactured by only a few small companies, which also own the lens manufacturers...and the insurance! So most eye clinics don't make any money on the frame/glasses unless they charge more. And unfortunately, insurance reimbursement for the exam is comically low, which again...these few companies also own.
Is that the Optotos? Wow that place is amazing. You won't find that i Eastover. lol
one of the offices i work at doesn’t have an optos machine and i sooo wish we did. the pictures they take are AMAZING. so cool
