The strategy of Apple which I like the most is Design thinking in which how Apple make Innovative design by combining user desirability, technology possibility and market viability.
What is the relation between Apple success and Design Thinking theory practiced today? Design Thinking is a widespread toolset taught by lots of individuals and companies today, also widely criticized by well known designers, as an overblown bubble, that's based on techniques that a designer learns in her first year at design school. Questions to authors of this video: how is design thinking techniques of empathy/ideation/definition/prototyping/testing tied to Job's success? Was he practicing the DT 5 step process? Or it's just a mere try to attract attention to modern design thinking bubble by telling some great company's and great people success?
I don't understand the part about design thinking. Apple has been notorious for doing things "their way", without truly listening to customers. It's often been a topdown design philosophy by a select few, with Jobs being the most important one obviously. In my opinion, Apple is the absolute opposite of a design thinking company. This doesn't mean it's not a design oriented company, but the methodology used certainly wasn't design thinking under the Jobs era.
"Design Thinking" is simply terminology referring to applying industrial design methodology to various aspects of product development, marketing and sale. All of this is BS. . . these guys sound smart talking about something that Apple simply took a risk on and succeeded and everybody else followed upon. Where Mr.Wei Li comes from (Asia) they usually COPY other people's ideas and then take credit for it by trying to sound smart.
The talentless ideo design thinking clowns are once again trying to cash in on Jobs design vision achievements, because design thinking has failed to produce anything and so they cling like blood suckers to someone elses high profile achievements , all design thinking did was to line the Kelley brothers pockets with cash they took from foolish companies that lost sigh of their goals. Due to lack of leadership or lack of vision. Ask the design thinking fools where is the real evidence to back their claims up.... It's zero
For a title that says Design Thinking and Innovation, there was hardly any material on the topic. Perhaps you should rename it history of Apple. Nothing of substance in terms of how DT was used, or how it influenced product design decisions. Misleading.
Why do you think Design thinking has failed ? I think businesses are slowly growing to realise the importance of design thinking. As this video suggests "Design is beyond fashion"
@@anujab6163 Design thinking was always going to fail, because it just attracts a certain type of idiot..... Ya Design is not a Fashion statement but just because you give the ability to a group of people, to make decisions on design, that dosent mean its going to be successful, in fact some of these idiots will become entrenched just because they came up with an idea.... Apple latest stuff is nothing short of shit.... time to cut the fat. Btw where is the amazing evidence for Design thinking? It been out there for over ten years now.

i also int like the factt that its too istracting without substance. i imay not like the view at all
Design thinking is not used at Apple. Jobs used design vision.... So you take jobs away and the vision stops. Design thinking has failed...
