Is that a "A Day to Remember" t-shirt? Love the video and all the different atmospheres you were able to capture with your gear! Porto is indeed one of my favorite places to photograph while in Portugal! :)
Some cloudy days for sure, but..that's Porto! Still it allowed you to honestly capture a real vibe of the city. The people; the openness; the welcomeness; the smiles; the hand waves... If it was sunnier there would have been more turists and outsiders and you wouldn't had capture such rawness of Porto! Congrats and come back any time.
Great vid Craig! You got some awesome pics specifically the foggy morning ones 😍 I love Porto its one of my favourite places but ever time I go I never get fog! Can't wait to see how the film pics come out! Hope 🇵🇹 treated you right!
Cheers mate, appreciate the comment. Yeah I absolutely loved the foggy morning shots, I was told that Porto in winter you tend to get a lot of foggy days but it's really a lottery with conditions like that isn't it. Absolutely loved the city, will 100% go back to shoot again soon
8:47 Santa roams in Porto after the holidays! Who would have guessed? :)) Jokes aside, I think even on the moody weather you made the most of it and being out on a photo adventure brought you that dose of focusing on the place and moment. Can't wait to see what the 2nd day looked like.
Haha, he wanders around flashing his 50 euros to anyone who cares! Cheers Vlad mate, I definitely needed that trip to get back into the creative swing of things
At this day, i was shooting some photos as well, but i was on Ponte do Infante, im learning street photography, have a canon 60d and a X-T10, i went to Serra do Pilar afterwards, some minutes away actually on foot, but at the time i got there it was foggy as hell 🤣, thats Porto for you 😅
@@CraigPitts it definitely is, but at that day i was with the canon and the 50mm 1.8 lens, just trying to shoot with a prime lens for the first time, well was the first time.
Hope you're health is on the mend. Some cracking images taken over there! You've inspired me to dust off my old Canon 70D and try and make the most of this dull British weather. I think you're Bristol based - Will you be doing any coverage on the light festival this year?
All good now thanks mate and I'm glad it's inspired you to get out and shoot! Yeah I'll probably get out there and shoot something on the light festival, I do enjoy night street photography...it's soon isn't it?
The weather wasn`t perfect but the photos are great! In Porto if you have sunny days you have a vibrant city to photograph but in days like you've catch you've a mystic city at your disposal... I hope you can photograph both 🙂
Great video. Regarding the autofocus, do you use AF-S or AF-C, and single point square ou zone focus? I've the x-t5 with 33mm1.4 and 56mm1.2 , but i have sometimes out of focus images ..
@@pmac_fotografia1 thanks for the comment! I mainly shoot AF-C with single point focus then focus recompose on the fly depending on my subject. Usually only use AF-S say if I’m shooting a scene and I’m waiting for a subject to pass through that scene. Hope that helps 👌🏼
This is great! Always gotta make the best of our situations. Porto is so so so beautiful. Glad you got to see it and your photos turned out great! Just subscribed so I can follow along with you. Maybe we can stay connected here as fellow fuji street photographers?
