    This is a very educational video showing such detailed information on how fluid behaves near a surface or away from it. How those vortex form is very logical when one understands the concept of " continuity" and the inertia of the fluid is a very important factor to comprehend. Inertia, surface tension and other qualities in a fluid may be silent and invisible but it is so fascinating to understand it all. Even the most common fluid , water, has its fascination, when it flows in open oceans, rivers, pipes, and when it is calm or in a tempest and curling around the hull of ships and rocks around our shores. Water is also fascinating when it froth away at the peaks of a wave which tends to indicate that the water is rather angry at the situation it found itself in. Comparing the angry sea frothing and bubbling its waves with the tranquil flow in a country stream and there contained in all that is the beauty of fluid flow.
    Congratulations for this video. It is interesting how there is no stagnant water at the leading edge of the airfoil shown and yet when a sheet is inserted in line with the streamline , the leading edge form two vortex on either side. I find it interesting to study the vortex around the wing, those vortex which have their axis parallel to the chord of the wing and the others which have their axis with the line of travel of the wing. Those vortex which have their line of flow with the line of flow of the wing are not too bad and could be useful, but those vortex which have their axis parallel to the span of the wing, well they are rather dangerous and must be avoided.

    This is nuts. It seems like many of these were made on the surface of a liquid. Quite inventive. I don't get how the one at 3:40 was made though, especially the coloring.

    It has been difficult for me to grasp the concept of how boundary layer separation takes place .....and never quite understood the importance of boundary layer.....thanks a lot for this very conceptual video as well as a very good explanation
