In a modern racing car the gears are changed by touching a button, here we have a long-throw gear change with four speeds and a clutch. So you tell me who does the driving.
Obviously, the driver still has to do some amount of work. What else is the difference between vintage and modern racecars other than the means of changing gears, etc? It's not like the driver simply sits there while the car does all the accelerating, braking, turning, and gear shifting for them. You people talk down on modern-day racecars as if the driver is sitting behind the wheel of a Tesla with autopilot.
Thanks for watching. Love LeMans! For this classic Shelby Mustang the key is putting power down leaving the corner. Skinny tires and rear drum brakes compromise the corner entry but getting off the corner with Ford V8 power provides excellent performance along side the Jaguars. So much fun!!!

Where’s is the big deep throaty roar of the Mustang? My Ford F-250 2018 4X4 DIESEL sounds better, deeper.
You might be looking at the wrong video, then. 4.7s don't have the "deep, throaty roar" you're describing.
