The Powerless rankings are just top contenders for the annual Tank Bowl.
Backup QB's are not going through the same prep each week as the starters. While the starting QB's are working with the first team offense and get all the attention from the OC, the backups are running the scout team offense to give looks that the starting defenses expect to see in the next game. That could mean they wan't the backups to throw into coverage so their DB's can get some practice picking the ball off.
Just because a QB doesn't look good when he comes in mid game for a starter it doesn't mean that with a weeks preparation to play won't look completely different. Especially, when it's a young guy who's never been a starter.

One answer to the Haener vs Rattler question might be the equivalent of the rookie development plan that KOC had for JJ McCarthy. Initially the plan was JJ would be QB3, with Mullens at QB2. That meant JJ could focus singularly on his technical development without being hijacked each week by the game plan. However, prior to his injury, it was looking like JJ was way ahead of schedule and was potentially going to be QB2.

Browns are the most disappointing team in the league and are God awful. The team has quit on Mr. $200 million Watson. Haslam is forcing Stefanski to start him. This team is playing WORSE than the 0-17 team right now.

Is it really your acting like there are a ton of good QB's in the league that even a team on their 3rd or 4th QB should be doing well enough. We don't even have 32 good QB's in this league much less 64 of them so that every single team should be able to cope with having their starter go down. Expecting a team to do well with a lackluster backup QB is naive. Would be like expecting a MLB team to do well if all 5 of their starting pitchers blew out their arms 2 months into the season.
This is the worst the Patriots have been since Rod Rust was head coach in the early 90s. Sad to see. Good luck to Drake Maye, I hope he is not broken like Mac Jones was.

Starting Drake Maye now in the midst of atrocious o-line play is as close to organizational malpractice as it gets. They are straight up begging for a Mac Jones repeat at this rate. Only by the grace of God and Maye just turning out to be transcendent will he survive this season.
Pats should NOT be starting Drake Maye. They have nothing to gain from doing it.

If they are holding off on starting him until the OL is good, he's going to be on the bench for years lol. I get that you don't want to throw the kid to the wolves, but Brissett has been AWFUL. Their leading WR has 153 yards on the entire season. No way are those pass catchers going to stay on-board for 17 games of that
@@173jaSon371just this season. Those receivers are getting paid the same if they catch 0 or 100 footballs a game. They just need better pieces from next years draft and free agency on O line, and continue to let him develop behind the scenes.
Browns should be at 1 here. They won't go anywhere with Watson at the helm. Only way they turn it around is if Winston starts

As a raiders fan, I can assure you we should be on this list.
Also, a Raiders fan. Many of these teams were expected to do better. I suspect that in a few weeks, some of these teams will move off the list and maybe make it to the playoffs. Then they'll have fun later looking at who vaulted from the powerless rankings. Maybe Brockman feels that the Raiders will be a bottom dweller in 2024 and not worth mentioning.

I feel like these Powerless rankings should be read off the other way around. Power rankings go from 10 to 1, PowerLESS should go from 23 to 32.

I hate how much fantasy league stuff is brought up during these segments. Who cares? No one's playing out there taking hits/blows thinking about your Vegas spread. Causes these unrealistic expectations on performance

The Titans have the #1 defense. Without the stupid Levis mistakes they could be 3-1. The team itself isn’t the 3rd worst in the league. Please get rid of Brockman.
