His humility is what gets me. I watched his more recent interview for the "Traitors" where he commented that a quarter million dollars is A LOT. Most Hollywood celebrities aren't that grounded.
One of the best character actors. Everything from Boris Grishenko to Gazoo, he's always so entertaining and brings wit and emotion to every role. I loved his series Instinct, it's a shame it only lasted 2 seasons.
Speaking of Hollywood saving him, he saved me after this interview! It’s been an incredible journey this past year after catching this interview! What an amazing and talented man. He makes it ok to not be ok, sometimes! Whenever I need a therapeutic recharge , I pop Baggage on my headphones and chill! I simply adore him on so many levels! 💙💙💙
His book "Not My Father's Son" covers a lot of his early years. It's worth a read - or better yet, a listen because he reads the audiobook version himself.
I am totally and fully in love with his talent, his accent and his attitude of life. All my respect for his ability to overcome such hardships. Has the pleasure of seeing him in Cabaret and I was amazed at his talent needless to say his range. (Santiago, Chile, South America)
Good reporting job. Years ago, my son and I saw Alan Cummings in a movie, where he was so funny and outrageous. I had no idea he was Scottish, though! He’s got such latitude in acting. Thank you for this interview. From southern Colorado!!
What a beautiful interview of a raw and authentic artist. Great emotion. Listening and not bombardment of questions. I could learn a lot about conversation from Anthony Mason.
I first saw him in Romy and Michelle... then in Bond... I was surprised when I finally heard his real accent! He seems like an amazing person. See him in Schmigadoon, if you get the chance!
I absolutely love his work. Such a talent... Beautiful soul. Angry, out of control ego maniac directors are toxic 4 sure. And there is way too many of them.
He's so underrated and I loved him in Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion but pretty much anything he does and he does a damn good American accent lol
Is anyone else thinking that Anthony Mason is living his best life right now? I was pretty bummed about him leaving "CBS This Morning," but I think that interviewing artists is his real passion.
The book was just excellent in every way - hard to put down as was his book "Not My Father's Son" - tragic, funny, sweet, perceptive, and very, very honest.
Alan is so right I had the same thing happening to me when I was 14 years old I started remembering the sexual abuse I suffered when I was 5 years old and I still get triggered having flashbacks I also grew up with an emotional abusive father

He’s one of those people you’d just love to sit with, in a cozy room, and listen to him tell stories for hours and hours.
I adore him,
He is the best guest on Graham Norton & Seth
Phenomenal performer, and a really sweet man, too.

Besides his versitle brilliance which is incomparable, he is postively delughtful.
I loved "Not My Father's Son," his previous memoir. Thanks for this interview.
I thought for a bit CBS did Anthony Mason dirty but seeing his segments recently, he is in the right place.
Such a talented man.💙 I’ve liked him since my teens and still now in my early thirties I still like him.🙃🤘🏾✨
I love Alan❤❤❤❤love his smile and his gentle nature

I came into the comments to post this.
I really enjoyed reading not my father's son I haven't read his second memoir yet
A friend of mine saw Cummings on Broadway in Cabaret one night and lived it so much she went back the next night.
Loved it. This needs an edit function!
“Cancel and continue.” Fantastic reframing to keep going through ~With a smile and lightness ~ thank you, Alan!

I saw him live in Cabaret and he is fabulous.
He was absolutely mind-blowing in that show. Incredible. And such a humble guy, too.
This man exudes sweet gentle vulnerability.
He is one actor I would love to meet! He is gorgeous and so talented! Road trip to his bar!

I loved his cameo in Sex & The City. He is so talented, funny and a natural scene stealer.

Sucks to hear his experience was so bad on X2. He was one of the superior things about that movie.
Yeah he was love him in x2
Amazing how dead-on that New York observer quote was! 🍾🥂
I don’t think I would have had that foresight in 1998.
God, he’s just adorable.
I could see Alan playing Eric Idle in a movie.
Alan is the absolute best.
I think he's adorable.I'll take him. 🤗
Childhood trauma… it’s a killer.
Just adore him!
Love him 💕
Alan has such dignity mixed with self-effacing humour. Need to find his book to read. 🐑🐑🇳🇿🇳🇿NZ
Molested at 5, buried it and it came for me at 40. Memories

His portrayal of Nightcrawler made me a fan. I'm sorry it was a bad experience for him.
He was amazing in that film I'm not surprised that he never reprise the role

You keep putting an s on his name!!
He’s adding the possessive form so Cumming’s bar, Cumming’s memoir, etc. he’s saying it quickly so it all melds together
@@MiniM69 not everytime
Not a word about his sexuality. Talking about hiding things... Oh, corporate media...
Oh, but it's a morning show! We can't hear about "that" before breakfast! 😉
Does it matter ??
everybody is a victim
Emotional ramblings of another careerist selling a "book".
It's Alan Cummings, sir... A worthwhile read to be sure!
John Reynolds…why did you watch this then?
Having a (celebrated, highly successful, varied, and fascinating) career is supposed to be a bad thing, somehow? Ooookay.
