LOL, it's hard to take any live action anime seriously, especially a 90s anime tbh. Although all the special effects make me feel old, but it's still kinda silly to see in person. Especially an anime as over the top as Yu Yu Hakusho. 🤣
It looks great from a cosplay perspective, though! 😅
It gives the same vibes as the Disney Movie Broadway plays. Not in a bag or good way, just... ya know... 🙃

I can totally see that! I think it’s strange that we can look at these billion dollar comic book movies being released by Marvel all the time and go “that’s fine, that’s normal” but then we can only see cosplay when it comes to anime adaptations. I would love to one day go to a theater and see a live action adaptation of one of my favorite anime that has managed to break through and been given all the money, bells, and whistles that Hollywood can provide mainline comic book adaptations now, but that really starts with celebrating and propping up the smaller stuff when it’s got some good points.
Do I think this was perfect? Absolutely not. But I think it has enough high points that it’s worth a watch.
Is it silly to watch someone shout a beam out of their finger in the shape of a gun? Absolutely. Haha.
