So thank you - I have now bought 3 RWS decks on E-bay. But one of them is a white title, park ave. no copyright - just snagged it - at a decent price AHHHHH!!
thegreatecb Hi! You'll see an ISBN number on the side of the back, but no bar code on the bottom flap. That's probably the biggest piece of information. You'll also see that the deck is "made in Switzerland expressly for US Games" - that will be on the top flap, and on the back it will say that's its made in Switzerland by Muller and Cie. There will be a copyright on the cards, but it won't be very big. I think these decks were printed in the late 1980s. I've been able to find these decks pretty inexpensively on eBay. I have the Trade mark by the deck but printed in Switzerland, what year do you think it is? book says Stanford Ct how old do you think this deck is. no web address, but has bar code
lonnieke I think you're looking at a deck from the 1990s. These decks were made in Switzerland, but US Games had moved to Stamford, CT by then. Do you like your deck?
I'm not exactly sure when the Stamford published decks got the barcode on the bottom.... but somewhere between 1990 and 1995. In 1995 I believe the production moved to Belgium with Cartamundi, and there was a move to the standard typeset titles (instead of Pixie's calligraphy).
