    As a tech enthusiast I'm subscribed to Engadget for years now, but I don't think I've seen content like this before on this channel. Content around how we can shape the future and save the cities we live in is important for all of us. Would love to see more of this.
    Well done Engadget!

    Why the need to over-engineer cooling buildings using nanotech. How scalable is this right now? I live in Zimbabwe and would love to see approaches used in the Eastgate Centre in the country's capital, which uses passive cooling adopted widely. Just good old biomimicry.

    As an architect myself, I think we were done with such solutions. While some part of the vid might be implementable but it won't solve climate or density issues.

    This may be science fiction for now and will probably never come to fruition but I like these types of ideas.

    If air conditioner units are expelling 25C indoor air out to 30C outdoor air, in what world is that heating up the outdoor air? 🤔

    I understand the need for these, but if they are not affordable to the masses then their impact will be constrained and their effect minimal.

      Almost everything starts out unaffordable for the masses. It’s also worth noting that a lot of these projects are paid for by building owners or government, so the cost isn’t so direct on the consumer

    • @adamsrealm
      @adamsrealm ปีที่แล้ว

      @@james-cucumber i have to call bullshit on this,
      There are a lot of things that are purposefully designed from the start to be affordable.

    • @james-cucumber

      @@adamsrealm i think I might have been unclear. I’m referring to new technologies here. The first smartphone (not the iPhone) was not affordable. Neither was the first car. But maybe I’m missing something obvious, could you give an example?
